These days even Saturday Night Live is mocking Obama's failed job creation programs, mainly because the stench of Barry's economic failure has become a little too pungent to ignore. But then again Obama's programs were never designed to create jobs in the first place. As far back as 2008, I pointed out that Obama's proposal put the environment first and jobs a distance third if at all, emphasizing environment efficiency and infrastructure programs, neither of which had any serious likelihood of creating permanent jobs. And unsurprisingly they didn't. Obama has inflated the bureaucracy at taxpayer expense, but he has not actually created jobs. Had he cut taxes by the same amount that he spent or just outright put the money to granting tax breaks to companies willing to move jobs to the United States, he could have boasted some actual job creation numbers. In the sixth month of his presidency, Obama has turned an economic downturn into an economic disaster, taking over and trashing entire companies, and driving the nation deep into deficit spending expected to pass 10 trillion dollars. Abroad, Obama seems to have no other mode except to continue on with his endless campaign, confusing speechmaking with diplomacy. Outwardly the situation looks bad. Republican party identification is down. The White House and Congress are in the hands of far left Democrats. Both Obama's appointments and massive spending plan directed at the states have one thing in common, they are part of his plan to centralizing power in his own hands, bypassing Congress and State governments. Obama's appointments are slowly creating two layers of government, one of Senate vetted appointees holding down conventional seats in the Cabinet while having next to no power, while the second consists of Czars or entirely new positions that do not require Senate vetting and are not accountable to congress-- but hold the real power. The White House coordinated campaign against Rush Limbaugh, along with the attacks on Santelli and Cramer, demonstrate that the Obama Regime is incapable of letting go of the politics of personal destruction. In a little over a month, Barack Hussein Obama has accomplished more than any American President has in four years. That accomplishment was to run up a bigger deficit in a month, than any American President has in four years. Now arrogantly rolling out a 10 year spending plan, 2 years more than his legal term, Obama proposes saddling Americans with over 20 Trillion dollars in debt. The United States plans to offer more than $900 million to help rebuild Gaza after Israel's invasion and to strengthen the Western-backed Palestinian Authority, U.S. officials said on Monday. The money, which needs U.S. congressional approval, will be distributed through U.N. and other bodies and not via the militant group Hamas , which rules Gaza, said one official. There are two obvious problems with this scenario . The Palestinian Authority does not rule Gaza. Any rebuilding of Gaza will only strengthen Hamas. Secondly, any foreign organizations operating in Gaza either answer to Hamas or are Hamas run outright. Take the UNRWA, the refugee arm of the UN which despite multiple refugee crises worldwide, focuses on working for the Palestinian Arabs. While there is a great deal of focus on foreign aid to Israel, the taxpayer money that goes to the UNRWA goes unnoticed. Trickle Down Economics isn't simply a conservative theory, it's also a liberal one. The difference is that the liberal version of Trickle Down Economics involves taxing the public to death, and having Congress trickle down some of the money back to the public, in between massive doses of pork and waste. Most people are naturally drawn to a crowd. Good or evil, right or wrong, it's always easier to be part of the majority. The election strategies of the past generations in the West has been for the winning party to seem to represent the majority, a trick done by staying on the right side of the polls, managing the media and putting out the message to the public that insures you stand with the majority. And with that approach the bold style of leadership that once characterized the West has all but faded away. We no longer want boldness, we demand mediocrity, and time and time again we get it. When the Greeks sought to enter Troy, first they laid siege to the city but when they realized that its defenses would not fall, they instead built something that mirrored the Trojans' beliefs, and let them do the hard work of bringing it into their city, along with the enemy force hidden inside.
