Sometimes there is an article that frames a topic in a crystal clear lens. Barbara Kay's piece in the National Post does that when it comes to the dehumanization inherent in the liberal silence on the abuse of women by non-western cultures referring to a caste in which an Australian judge freed the rapists of a 10 year old girl. How could any woman get it so wrong? It’s like this: Indoctrinated in multicultural feminism, Judge Bradley is a moral and cultural relativist. Any sexual aggression against her own daughter would be anathema, but the cultural values of the Other are sacrosanct, and must be respected. Thus, that judge didn’t see a 10-year old girl. She didn’t see an individual. She saw aboriginal Others engaged in behaviours particular to their culture, and she assumed it would be wrong to impose her standards on them. Liberalism's Fear of its Own Racism Liberalism's greatest problem in dealing with Islam is a fear of its own racism. That racism leads to the consta...

Friday Afternoon Roundup - Meet the Muslims
First up Nasrallah has been apparently been demoted by Iran's supreme leader from command over Hizbollah. This nakedly shows that Hizbollah is nothing more than an Iranian puppet and that Hizbollah's attacks on Israel are actually Iranian attacks on Israel and are a legitimate justification for Israel declaring War on Iran as Iran has committed acts of War against Israel. Report: Nasrallah demoted by Khamenei Some of Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah's responsibilities have been taken away by the organization's backer Iran, the pan-Arabic daily Asharq Alawsat claimed Thursday. Reportedly, Nasrallah is no longer in control of the organization's military wing, which is now headed by Nasrallah's deputy Sheikh Na'im Kassem. The Iranian official Asharq Alawsat cites as the one who demoted Nasrallah is none other than Iran Supreme Leader Ayatol...
Islam: The Angry Beggar at the Feast
Recently I was at a community function and seated next to a local beggar who usually hangs around the neighborhood with his hand out always asking for spare change. I can't say the food was particularly good but most people took it in stride, he however lashed out and began shouting that the soda was poison, the food was disgusting and the particular food that he wanted and had been promised wasn't available. Eventually after eating some more, he left angrily. On a scale of civilizations, Islam is the beggar at the feast. The modern world has birthed an incredible wealth of technologies and products, economic prosperity, human rights and freedoms. Knowledge and communication have been expanded as never before and mankind has gone from the depths of the ocean to set foot on the surface of the moon and within a decade Mars. Liberal dogma has it that this 'feast' is one that excludes the developing nations and takes place at their expense, but it is not. Israel and Singapo...

Ask Imam Abdul Moderate
( Due to technical difficulties, the blogger known as Sultan Knish will not be able to post today. Instead for the benefit of our readers we present this week's column of Ask Imam Abdul Moderate, moderated by Imam Abdul Moderate ) Asalaam Aleikum Brothers and Sisters of the Ummah and Assorted Unclean Infidels While certain extremists continue their attempts to present Islam as a violent religion, I Imam Abdul Moderate am dedicated to presenting the true moderate face of Islam, the religion of peace. This week as every week we cover the grave issues presented to Muslims living in the unclean Dar Al Harb of the West where homosexuals and unclad women parade themselves on every corner and the heathen government stuffs ham sandwiches in the mouths of the devout. I will now reply to your questions. Dear Imam Abdul Moderate, My daughter has lately ceased to wear her Hijab and has been seen conversing with boys. Tell me what should I do? Is Mike Huckabee Running for the Republican or the Democratic Party Nomination?
Looking over his September speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, I have to wonder where his rhetoric really diverges from Hillary Clinton's or Obama's on foreign policy. Just some choice quotes to begin with. "Well, let me begin by saying that to say that American foreign policy needs a change in tone or attitude, or an opening up and reaching out, is obviously saying that O.J. Simpson might’ve had a bad month. This administration’s bunker mentality has been counterproductive, both at home and abroad. They’ve done a poor job of communicating and consulting with other countries, just as they have, frankly, with the American people." Which is more of the multilateralist rhetoric we've been hearing from Democrats since Day 1. It's less clear which countries we were supposed to be communicating with and how. It's also nice to see Huckabee start out by comparing US Foreign Policy to O.J. Simpson. It's just a throwaway line but it...

The Self-Destructing Jihad
The paradox of the Islamic Jihad being waged against the West, is that it is a Jihad that is itself parasitic on the West. It could not exist without Western money and Western support. Without these it would quickly shrivel up and die. There are few better demonstrations than Abu Hamza or Captain Hook living on the dole in the UK while preaching terrorism. Abu Hamza is simply a microcosm of Islamic terrorism which feeds off the West, from the Saudi sponsored Jihad funded by Western oil money and protected by American tanks to Pakistan's ISI backing of the Mujahadeen which would not have been possible without American support to Fatah's terrorist infrastructure now being revitalized by the State Department-- Islamic terrorism is dependent on the West. The reason that most Arab states exist in the first place is that they were created by England or France and funded by the United States. The House of Saud and the entire fiction of Saudi Arabia was created with British and Ame...

The Republican Presidential Candidates on Annapolis
Mitt Romney Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney criticized the timing of the Annapolis peace conference. "I do not believe that this is a time when my expectations would suggest a major peace breakthrough," Romney said. Romney backed the phased implementation approach of the internationally backed road map peace plan, which calls for Palestinian security and governance reform - as well as a freeze on Israeli settlements and removal of outposts - before substantive negotiations begin. Romney did, however, back the administration's efforts to boost Abbas, whom he called a "more moderate voice" in the Fatah party. "Supporting moderate voices is in my view a good course, and a wise course. Mike Huckabee BLITZER: Do you think it's a good idea for the Bush administration, this week, to convene Israelis and Palestinians and a lot of other countries and institutions in Annapolis, Maryland, to try to jump start the Israeli-Palestinian peace process? Parshas Miketz - The Master of Dreams
Before the brothers cast Yosef into the pit, they refer to him in a derogatory manner as the Baal Hahalomot, the Master of Dreams. When they propose to sell him into slavery, they say, now we shall see what will become of his dreams. After all in his dreams Yosef had seen himself as the ruler, now that he was cast down and sold into slavery, it would seem that only in his dreams would he ever rule. But what are dreams anyway? There are two ways of looking at dreams. Dreams can be the most important thing in your life, the thing you dream about. Or dreams can be absolutely meaningless, vaporous dreamstuff, the chaotic spray of the subconscious. What sets one apart from the other and gives a dream meaning? The source and root of the dream itself. How then does Yosef rise to power and rule? It is because of his dreams, as the Baal Halomot that his brothers mockingly called him, he is raised out of the pit to interpret Pharaoh's dream. Yet what is it that gives Yosef the ability to int...

Friday Afternoon Roundup - Against the Coming of the Dark
Iran and the diplomats and their friends in the CIA are celebrating the NIE report. A number of people are doing an excellent analysis of the dubiousness of the NIE report and I will link to them here. First though I will point out that the same intelligence community was certain that India and Pakistan had no nuclear capability until India and Pakistan actually detonated nuclear weapons. Does anyone seriously think that our intel capabilities in Iran are better than in India and Pakistan, two friendly nations? Caroline Glick covers it in The Abandonment of the Jews , an article title that summons up the lies and deceptions diplomats told about the Holocaust during WW2 Indeed, contrary to that earth-shattering opening, the NIE acknowledges that the Iranians have an active nuclear program and that they are between two and five years away from nuclear capabilities. The report's primary authors, Thomas Fingar, Vann Van Diepen and Kenneth Brill are all State Department officials on loa...

Have A Hellenistic Green Chanukah - The Environmentalist War on Judaism
There's a pattern to be left's takeover of religion, it usually begins by writing G-d out of the equation and replacing him with paens to social activism. Environmentally motivated warnings about resource consumption, animal welfare and global warming are the next wave of liberal social activism and religion is ground zero for their targeted subversion. Examples include the recent movie Evan Almighty which coordinated with liberal churches in America and the UK to promote an ecology centered vision of Noah and the flood and now inspired by Jimmy Carter turning off the White House Christmas Tree, comes the Green Chanukah which is to be celebrated by lighting one Chanukah candle less. The Greek Chanukah, oh I'm sorry Green Chanukah, the confusion is natural since Chanukah is the story of how secular Hellenistic values took over the Temple and parts of the Jewish people. The Green Chanukah is about secular environmentalist political activism taking over a religious holiday and...

Chanukah, Annapolis and the Virtues of Courage
As Olmert continues making feeble efforts to reassure Israelis that an agreement with the PA that will surrender yet more territory including around the nation's capital as launching pads for mortar and rockets attacks will not endanger them, Millions of shekels have been spent fortifying the Prime Minister's Office against rocket attacks. While Olmert makes empty promises, the work continues to begin transforming the Prime Minister's Office into a bunker against the disasters that his policies bring. A man who makes extensive concessions without understanding the consequences is one thing. A man who not only understands what will happen but prepares to protect himself while leaving the rest of the country out in the cold has many names, traitor is only one of them. Where Rabin promised that 97 percent of Israel could be defended, Olmert is reduced to saying that not all of Israel can be defended. Apparently the one part of Israel that can be defended is the Prime Minister...

Baath Party Iraqi Terrorists Murdering US Troops Support Ron Paul for President
Though the Iraqi Baath Party has seen better days and the Iraqi Information Minister, Baghdad Bob is nowhere to be found, the Baath party terrorists currently murdering U.S. troops have an outlet, Uruknet. Uruknet is the self-described voice of the Iraqi "resistance", in this case the Sunni terrorists affiliated with the Baath party. And Uruknet loves Ron Paul. Uruknet routinely celebrates its murders of U.S. Troops with headlines like "Resistance group announces shooting of US soldier in al-Mahmudiyah", "US admits one more soldier dies of wounds received in combat with Iraqi Resistance" or "Armed assault on government administrative building in al-Mada’in leaves at least eight puppet Shock Troops dead" But lately Uruknet and the Iraqi Sunni terrorists they represent really seem to love Ron Paul running endless sympathetic articles on him like " The Media’s Plan to Ambush Ron Paul ", " Diamonds and Pearls and... Ron Paul "...

How Our Culture of Activism Opens the Door for Islam
I wrote previously about the Muslim Culture of Grievance but the reality is that what makes this culture an effective weapon against the West is the fact that the political and intellectual systems of most Western countries have become dominated by the Culture of Activism. Democracy is based on individual rights and individual representation but that has been honored more in the breach than in the observance. In practice we have lost individual rights in favor of group rights and exchanged the democracy of the voting booth for the undemocratic representation by special organizations and lobbying groups. Are you a senior, black, jewish, female, have cancer, catholic, liberal protestant, parent, child, rich, poor? If so there are people who claim to represent you and speak for you. People you did not vote for and cannot get rid of. I never voted for Abe Foxman and yet he speaks for me. Whoever you are, there are people speaking for you whose voices are paradoxically louder than yours. Ho...

The Teddy Bears of Annapolis - The Long Road of Giving in to Muslim Grievances
The long road of giving in to Muslim grievances may begin with a teddy bear but it ends at Annapolis, it may begin with petty things but these surrenders gather force until they culminate in the surrender of a culture and a nation. The road to surrender begins with the legitimization of Muslim grievances. When Muslims became outraged at cartoons of their prophets the world's media responds by suppressing their publication. When Muslims find the very sight of a pig or alcohol offensive, those two are hid away. Tolerance has been perverted into intolerance, into the suppression of other people's rights in order to accommodate Muslim grievances. But Muslim grievances never end. The harder the West works to accommodate Muslim grievances, the worse those grievances become. This is a phenomenon that most parents understand when it comes to children, but seem unable or unwilling to understand when it comes to the childishly backward Muslim sense of entitlement. Western accommodation o...

Parshas Vayeishev - The Dweller in the Land
Parshas Vayeishev begins with Yaakov our Forefather dwelling in the land of Caanan for Vayeishev literally means to sit or in this case to dwell. Originally when describing Yaakov and Esav as young men, the Torah said that Yaakov was a "Yoshev Ohalim", a sitter in tents. Now having returned home again, Yaakov has also returned to dwelling in tents. The Midrash comments on this, Rotza Yaakov Leishev BeShalva, Yaakov Desired to Dwell in Peace Yet G-d had other plans for him. It seems as if dwelling in peace was not what G-d wanted from Yaakov. When Yaakov had first sat in tents and studied, he had been the second son and then he had been thrust into deceiving his brother and father, into fleeing to the house of his uncle, laboring their for years in the open field, combating deceit and betrayal and after all these years only to return home and still to find no peace there. Now on returning home the Midrash tells us that Yaakov worried that he lacked two merit vis a vis Esav on...
