Home recent War on Terror It's Not Over

It's Not Over

“In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,” a terrorist declares on the Flight 93 cockpit recording. That’s followed by the sounds of the terrorists assaulting a passenger.

“Please don’t hurt me,” he pleads. “Oh God.”

As the passengers rush the cabin, a Muslim terrorist proclaims, “In the name of Allah.”

As New York firefighters struggle up the South Tower with 100 pounds of equipment on their backs trying to save lives until the very last moment, the Flight 93 passengers push toward the cockpit. The Islamic hijackers call out, “Allahu Akbar.”

Mohammed Atta had advised his fellow terrorists that when the fighting begins, “Shout, 'Allahu Akbar,' because this strikes fear in the hearts of the non-believers.” He quoted the Koran’s command that Muslim holy warriors terrorize non-believers by beheading them and urged them to follow Mohammed’s approach, “Take prisoners and kill them.”

The 9/11 ringleader quoted the Koran again. “No prophet should have prisoners until he has soaked the land with blood.”

On Flight 93, the fighting goes on. “Oh Allah. Oh the most Gracious,” the Islamic terrorists cry out. “Trust in Allah,” they reassure. And then there are only the chants of, “Allahu Akbar” as the plane goes down in a Pennsylvania field leaving behind another blood-soaked territory in the Islamic invasion of America.

Today that field is marked by the “Crescent of Embrace” memorial.

Thousands of Muslims cheered the attack in those parts of Israel under the control of the Islamic terrorists of the Palestinian Authority. They shouted, “Allahu Akbar” and handed out candy.

But similar ugly outbreaks of Islamic Supremacism were also taking place much closer to home.

On John F. Kennedy Boulevard, in Jersey City, across the river from Manhattan, crowds of Muslim settlers celebrated the slaughter of Americans. "Some men were dancing, some held kids on their shoulders," a retired Jersey City cop described the scene. "The women were shouting in Arabic."

Similar Islamic festivities broke out on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, a major Islamic settlement area, even as in downtown Manhattan, ash had turned nearby streets into the semblance of a nuclear war. Men and women trudged over Brooklyn Bridge or uptown to get away from this strange new world.

At Union Square, I passed NYU students painting anti-war placards even as the downtown sky behind them was painted the color of bone. They ignored the crowd streaming up past them and focused intently on making all the red letters in NO WAR line up neatly on the white cardboard.

In the years since, I have seen that look on the faces of countless leftists who ignore the stabbers shouting, “Allahu Akbar” in London or the terrorist declaring, "In the name of Allah, the merciful," among the bloody ruin of a gay nightclub in Orlando. Instead they focus on their mindless slogans.

“NO WAR,” “Stop Islamophobia” and “Refugees Welcome.” The world of the cardboard sign and the simple slogan is an easier and neater one than a sky filled with the ashes of the dead.

On September 11, some of us opened our eyes. Others closed them as hard as they could.

The passengers on Flight 93 who took the lead were in their thirties. But the two firefighters who made it to the 78th floor of the South Tower, Ronald Bucca, who did duty in Vietnam as a Green Beret, and Orio Palmer, a marathon runner, were in their forties. Those men and women had the most meaningful answers to the old question, “Where were you when it happened?”

The great lesson of that Tuesday morning was that it wasn’t over. It wasn’t over when we understood that we wouldn’t find anyone alive in that twisted mass of metal and death. It wasn’t over when the air began to clear. It wasn’t over when the President of the United States spoke. It wasn’t over when the planes began to fly again and the TV switched from non-stop coverage of the attacks and back to its regularly scheduled programming. It wasn’t over when we were told to mourn and move on.

It still isn’t over.

After every attack, Boston, Orlando, San Bernardino, New York, Paris, Manchester, London, Barcelona, we are encouraged to mourn and move on. Bury the bodies, shed a tear and forget about it.

Terrible things happen. And we have to learn to accept them.

But Tuesday morning was not a random catastrophe. It did not go away because we went back to shopping. It did not go away with Hope and Change. Appeasing and forgetting only made it stronger.

“Where were you?” is not just a question to be asked about September 11, 2001. It is an everyday question. What are you doing today to fight the Islamic terrorists who did this? And tomorrow?

Our enemies wake up every day wondering how to destroy us. Their methods, from demographic invasion to WMDs, from political subversion to random stabbings, are many.

A new and terrible era in history began on 9/11. We are no more past it than we were past Pearl Harbor at the Battle of Midway. Its origins are no mystery. They lie in the last sound that came from Flight 93.

“Allahu Akbar.”

We are in the middle of the longest war in American history. And we still haven’t learned how to fight it.

September 11 has come around again. You don’t have to run into a burning building or wrestle terrorists with your bare hands. But use the day to warn others, so you can answer, “Where were you?”

Here in Britain , we used the BBC to assail, abuse your Ambassador only two days after 9/11 ,as he shed tears for what had happened.
And two days after that ,we included Barbers Adagio into our Last Night of the Proms programme, but little else.
I'm afraid that 20 years on, it is far worse. At least the Promgoers didn't laugh at what had befallen you, but they would now. Just as they mock any reference to Jesus or to God, as we heard last night.
The vicious cretins who mocked your ambassador in 2001 still get their columns published and their politics praised. And this caste run the media and education too, so 9/11 is still only " bad stuff that happened " to quote the sentiments of one of your own Congress...what kind of country lets her into office, then?
Sane type that rewarded Zinn and Marcuse, Adorno I guess.
    Sorry Mr G.
Where were you is no longer the question. It's now what the hell you've allowed yourself to be reduced to.
And, for God's sake...detoxify your coming culture, fry a few traitors like Schiff and reinstitute some education , 9/11 being the whole curriculum for a term, say.
What else do we need to know?

  2. Twenty Years ago I was the Active Duty Manager for a Texas Air National Guard Special Operations Weather Flight.
    – I had just gotten back to the office from our Ops Group weekly meeting. I heard on the radio that there had been an explosion at the World Trade Center. I remember the last explosion and wondered if it was another Terrorist bombing. I went down to storage and pulled out a small TV from one of the Team kits. I had it set up and tuned in just in time to see the second plane hit live on TV.
I called the Boss at his job and said “We are at war”
He had been watching as well and we started discussing plans for the next two weeks.
I hung up that call and started the Recall Roster…
I notified my unit members to tell their employers to prepare for their absence, and to pack their bags, triple check their gear, and prepare their families.
I then called AFSOC and notified them that all unit members are accounted for and prepared for 72 hour deployment as required.
My first team went out the door in December 2001, our unit had at least one person deployed in support of OEF and OIF from 2001 until I was medically retired in 2010.
While I was in Kabul in 2003 the backstabbing POS that I voted for in 2000 changed the ROE to handcuff the Heroes who won the war, and installed Islam as the government of Afghanistan,
AND started the purge of our military leadership to install the Pro-Islam brigade that runs it today.
I was NOT surprised when bush voted for Hillary or when he voted for biden.
We as a Nation have forgotten 911…
The proof is that we have actual Terrorist sympathizers elected to congress,
    AND
We have a Dictator that actually said for the record that he is losing patience with Law Abiding American Citizens,
And we haven’t Tarred and Feathered him and Strung up those who are controlling him.

We as a Nation HAVE FORGOTTEN 911

Just Imagine a World WITHOUT Islam.

Then and only then can we forget 911

Dear Msg. Grumpy: Re the ROE (Rules of Eng.)
2003; are they still classified? I have tried
and failed to find old ROE; only get vague info.
Surely the enemy knows and exploits. Please,
any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

  3. What you write here should be common sense that everyone understands. But, sadly, it will largely be ignored, or when it is read, the response will be that you're anti-immigrant. The message is lost in the echo chambers they exist in. And that 'hope and change'? It was really 'hype and chains'.

It’s insane. In spite of our admirable progress
of objective knowledge and ability, we have dragged
along a horrible culture of primitive irrationality.
Islam only persists because we tolerate it. They
are cowardly and shrink from power. I’ve seen it.

This vile cult merits no benefit of doubt. Its vast
history is clear. Open our eyes and remember the
    brave passengers of flight 93.

I learned something very signficant about Thoams Jefferson when that wretch Keith Ellison was somehow elected to Congress, and made his decisioin to swear his "oath" with his hand upon a copy of rhe koran.. not just ANY koran, but the very book acquired by Mr. Jefferson. Knowing him as I did then, I had to learn WHY it was he even had one.
I will share that sotry here as it is signficant.
Back when the Barbary pirates were harrassing American shipping, capturing and sinking ships, staaling their crews as slaves (yes white slavery is a thing with the mozzies) etc. He had sent some naval vessels to see what they could do.. without much in way of positive improvement. He then procured that book the very one Ellingson so pig-headedly misused to make a false point the Jefferson was somehow friendly" toward moslems.
As I looked into the hisotry of that time it came clear that Ellingson was lying. Jefferson got that copy to infomr himself about this horrid cult, not out of admiratioin but by way of learning "what made them tick". He figured it out. They will threaten, bully, torment, abuse, destroy steal, capture.. UNTIL the cost of those activities becomes intolerabl high.

Jefferson's cure? HE sent near the \entire US Navy to that area, wiht instructioins to mercilessly seek and destroy every ship operated by these pirates. No mercy no quarter.
After some time theyr leaders sued for peace.. on THEIR terms. They demanded the jizra, the "shame tax" on al shipping.. Jeffersons response? Double down, seek and destroy every one of them until they sue for unconditional surrender. beleive it took another twoyears for them to cave.
How did Jefferson figure this out? Simple... he understaood they are a house of cards, and will fold when they are in too deep, when to continue in their activity seems nearl certainly to lead to destructioin for them. The Treaty of Tripoli was drafted and signed by their leadership. Unconditional surrender, cessation of all hostile activites agiasnt any American or allied shippping, free passage gratned along the shores of ONorth Africa, and I believe return of all slaves captured.
The terms o that treaty have ben severly violated particularly in these past forty years or so. WHY do not our "fearless leaders" (cough cough cough) not rise up and enforce those trerms once more?

Simple: they are far too cowardly to even suggest this. Appeasement and surrender are their bag. Hardly anyone in government today understands resolving conflict. They use the methods promoted in day care and government elementary schools.... time outs, separation, , worthless soft words, avoidance, distraction..none of whoch RESOLVE anything, just kick it down the road one more time, until they are out of office and "no longer resposnbile". (they never were....)
Until soeone with grit and resolve comes forward with the understanding of a Jefferson, these wretches will continue to threaten, intimidate, destroy, separate, dominate. Until the price of doing so increases to the point they will nonger DO these things.
Jefferson, two hundred years back "got it". He was VERY effective. Ellison heaped insult and ridicule upon that fine leader. HE is certainly partof theproblem, as are his cronies in that foul corner of the country.

      Dear Tionico;
Thank you for recalling Victory over Tripoli.
From Roman times (710 A.D.) til Jefferson,
      Barbary pirates dominated the Mediterranean.
Sea traffic was denied to Europeans. Commerce
by land was vastly more difficult. Muslim
pillage and slave taking ruled from Greece
as far north as Iceland. European coasts
became deserted. Our European cousins mostly
managed to pay protection to the pirates.

Our decades old country on the other side of
the Atlantic crushed this millennium old curse.
      Jefferson and American Exceptionalism.

      Ellison unknowingly honored Jefferson’s
weapon of knowledge against evil Islam.
Jefferson conquered by learning; good move.

  5. I think it's pretty simple: children become what they are raised to become. Americans raise their children to respect life and liberty. Marxists indoctrinate children to submit to power, and to seek power. Muslims raise their children to submit to Allah. Jihadists indoctrinate children to kill the "unbelievers".

Anybody here knows why the comments are not displayed in black-on-white

This decreases the *contrast* necessary for older people without straining our eyes to read.

  7. I watched the towers fall. I remember the day as we kept our kindergarten- and pre-school-age kids home, and that night as we watched over them in church. I’d been to the Towers on both business and pleasure. I’ve been since to Ground Zero and the museum.

My take on today is not that of others’.

Is the memorial outside Arlington of our defeat at Pearl Harbor… or of our victory on Iwo? Are our war memorials of defeat…or of victory?

Do we as a nation stop and mourn and speechify and weep and televise our loss at Pearl Harbor each year? Or did we annihilate those who attacked us, and then rebuild the world?

Cry for the dead - yes. But only after wreaking vengeance on their killers. There always will be time for the dead; their killers must be dealt with to save the living - in body and in spirit. It is the living whose spirits we must concern ourselves with. THEN we can mourn our dead.

Great Powers don’t celebrate defeat, certainly not for decades as a national almost-holiday. The hole at Ground Zero is a huge gaping cry not for or of victory, but of angst, depression, sadness, of defeat and loss unredeemed by victory. No offset to give hope or strength or even value to that loss. Walking through the museum is one long, sad, dark, doleful and unrelieved immersion in defeat.

That we still demand a day of mourning, without an accompanying celebration of victory shows only the depths we have plumbed as a therapeutic society - not as a healthy, vigorous, strong society looking to our future, but a weakening, traumatized society that cannot get over its past.

We were defeated that day in a heinous surprise attack. And we refused, for the first time in our history, to destroy those who attacked us. Not because we lacked the capability; because we lacked the will. Our recent humiliation in Afghanistan only magnifies that lack.

We refuse a victory that must be ours if we are to truly memorialize our dead. And until that victory is achieved, we have not memorialized them, we have not cauterized the wound. We have not risen to the greatness we have always, until now, shown the world.

This is our problem. We have lost our will to be great. From the looks from “both” sides of the aisle, it is not coming back.

Sadly, this, above all else, is the “lesson” of 9/11.

Traveling through the Mid-East in the 1970s, I
was often followed by a gang of little boys.
Soon, I was hit by pebbles, then larger billiard
ball size stones. (In plain view of townspeople.)
Spinning around, I could never be sure who threw.
Solution: Grab any kid and beat him.

Muslims are all waging Jihad. No neutrals, no
civilians; ALL are targets of opportunity. No
time to dither over was it ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah,
Boko Haram, CAIR. Our hesitation is weakness and
will be exploited. War is destruction and death,
not felonies and misdemeanors. Victory is
      everything.

Don't forget that Americans working together achieve amazing things, especially when our fellow citizens are in need. Nothing is as dramatic as the largest sea evacuation, organized by the hand of faith and goodwill. https://www.workboat.com/coastal-inland-waterways/remembering-9/11-calling-all-boat--20-years-later

As I think, again, on the Abomination that is Islam, I am reminded of a short story by the SciFi writer Dan Simmons.
"The Time Traveler" is an off-beat yet fascinating read that suggests a future America that is at war with Islam.
IMO, worth all 15 mines of your time:

    http://www.think-israel.org/simmons.timetraveler.html

I am of the opinion that the only two holes in the ground currently serving as "9/11 Memorials" should be the nuked-to-bedrock cities of Mecca and Medina.

  11. 40,000 terrorist attacks since 9-11, and still our leaders have not learned the lesson. We keep importing Muslims into the West. What should we call it when an entire people commits suicide.

    Suigenocide?)
