Cages for Jews: Are We Living Under a Tyranny Yet?

In Cairo a group of anti-government demonstrators gathered to protest the Mubarak regime. They chanted slogans briefly until the police moved in beating and dragging them away and arresting the leaders of the protest. The media and international observers for the most part agree that this is illegal and symptomatic of tyrannical regimes.

Mubarak has much to learn from Sharon though. In Israel the police will not wait until the protesters are actually protesting to drag them out of their cars and buses, to beat and detain them. Cars and buses on route or possibly on route to the rally will be stopped and their occupants removed and possibly detained. At the last rally even the bus drivers who were merely paid to drive the buses found themselves in police interrogation rooms. At the government's cabinet meeting two ministers attempted to raise the issue only to be silenced by Sharon. "This is not on the agenda," he said.

By that he means it is not on the agenda for discussion or debate, only for implementation. Cages are being prepeared, as seen above, to cage like captured animals those fathers and mothers and children who resist being thrown out of their homes. Jails are being prepeared to hold thousands, to hold entire families. A discussion was held in the Knesset to open nursery schools in jail. Sharon who has freed thousands of Palestinian terrorists to kill again will jail Jewish children in their place. For now there are dangerous 13 and 14 year old girls imprisoned for protesting against the government. Soon though the government looks forwards to much younger prisoners indeed. This is on the agenda.

“If the police estimates that the crowds that will arrive in Sderot might endanger the Disengagement plan, then it will be legitimate to stop the protesters," the Attorney General has declared. It has become legitimate now to arrest protesters for endangering the future implementation of government programs. By that law's logic any protest against any government program may be broken up, since the goal of any protest against a program is to endanger that program and only protests in favor of a program are legal. Is this tyranny one might ask? One might ask this but not answer it.

It is illegal of course to call the Sharon government a tyranny. Calling Sharon's government a tyranny exposes you to the risk of being called in for questioning into a Shabak or police interrogation room and threatened with imprisonment for calling the existing government a tyranny. What better proof is there of its democratic status can there be than imprisoning those who criticise it? Labor's Haim Ramon shouted once, "You will respect our democracy or we will crush you." That is Sharon's philosophy of democracy as well. Obey or be crushed. Their democracy is a hollow empty word devoid of meaning. Like Mubarak and every other middle eastern tyrant Sharon will soon for re-election. One way or another he will win. He sits in power over a bribed and intimidated Knesset pursuing his own agenda. The agenda he will speak of but his ministers are forbidden to. The agenda of cages.

In the streets the police beat protesters and cells are filled with the enemies of the state. Bigger prisons are being built, bases and tent camps and cages. The state has a prison that fits you too. From the Closed Military Zone of Gush Katif surrounded by barbed wire and armed guards to the small yellow cages good for caging a whole family, Sharon has a cage for everyone. Do not call this a tyranny, that is incitement and extremism; both punishable by law. Do not protest against this or you will be jailed. Do not speak out against it or you will be investigated. Step into your cage. Let the door be closed behind you and squat down. You will be here for a long time.

First they came for the settlers - and then for all Orthodox Jews

The OU is now objecting to the war on Religious Jews unleashed by the Sharon regime, rather belatedly too. The OU which has remained neutral on the question of expelling thousands of Jews from their homes and stood with arms folded while the government has jailed 13 year olds for civil disobedience and threatened to take away the children of parents who refuse to leave Gush Katif and putting soldiers through training courses for shooting settlers; is now weakly objecting to the police targeting any Jew with a Kippah and pulling them out of cars and buses.

The OU has ignored the Sharon regime reign of terror unleashed against religious Jews since the very beginning. Reform and Conservative conversions are being legitimized, religious institutions defunded to near banktrupcy, investigations opened against both Chief Rabbis, threats of closing Hesder Yeshivot and the expulsion decrees have not stirred the OU. Instead the OU has provided a platform for Sharon's representatives to preach the virtues of expelling Jews and issued vaugely neutral positions reaffirming their respect for both the positions of the people being kicked out of their homes and the position of those who wish to kick them out; as if there was some sort of morally relativistic equivalence between the two; is now shocked that religious Jews are being targeted by the police, wholesale.

Even in its weak letter of protest which the Sharon regime felt free to ignore, the OU complains that all citizens should have the right to travel to any place in the country, barring "closed military zones." Of course since the Sharon regime feels free to make anyone's home a 'closed military zone' the OU's watered down complaint over the violations of civil rights are laughable. If they are prepeared to accept civil rights violations accompanied by a euphemism but not without the euphemism their protests are a sham and Sharon knows it.

If the OU was not prepeared to condemn the criminal closure of Gush Katif and the proposed expulsion of its residents, Sharon knows well enough it lacks the courage to do anything more than send out letters. One is reminded of Hans Blix in Team America telling Kim Jong Il, "We will be very angry and then we will write you a letter telling you how angry we are." The OU has now written a letter and it was ignored. Like the people of Israel, whom Eliyahu HaNavi warned could not remain holding between two options, one moral and one immoral. If the OU is to engage the issue morally it must choose the moral side, inaction only aids the tormentor and silence only removes it from the contest and neutrality favors those in power not those in danger.

Barry Chamish obstructs the fight against Disengagement

UFO researcher and conspiracy nut Barry Chamish has become famous because he made it first to press with a book on Rabin's assassination. Many people perceive him as being on the 'Right' or on our side and his success with 'Who Murdered Yitzchak Rabin' has given him far too much of a voice, a voice he's used to spread confusion, fear and lunatic conspiracy theories.

Those who know Chamish for his writings on Rabin, are less familiar with his background in UFO's reporting on alien spacecraft landing throughout Israel, some of these landings which he supposedly witnessed himself. This however is positively benign in comparison to Chamish's links to Neo-Nazis.

Chamish's articles appeared through Rense.com a foul anti-semitic website which pledges support for Holocaust denier Ernst Zundel, claims that Jews are really Khazars and are plotting to control the world. Chamish has endorsed Rense.com and praised the site which happily prints pieces by him like, 'British Freemasonry Covets Israel', 'The Guilt-Ridden Jews Of The New World Order' and 'Practicing For The WTC/Pentagon Attacks In Isreal' (sadly for all of Chamish's knowledge of the inner conspiracies in Israel he occasionally has trouble spelling the country's name.)

Chamish himself was scheduled to appear at a Holocaust Denier convention to promote his books there, until the hotel owners pulled the plug on that witch's sabbath. Chamish had claimed he would go there to speak against Holocaust denial but in fact his own hateful views are the precise reason that he had been invited. Chamish claims that Adolf Hitler was a follower of Shabbatai Tzvi and a son of the Rothschilds and that the Rothschilds funded the Holocaust along with various other Jews such as the Warburg, Schiff and Astor families. Chamish's brand of Holocaust denial is to claim that the Jews themselves were behind the Holocaust. It is no surprise that Holocaust deniers see an ally in him or at best a useful idiot.

Regurgitating a blend of assorted conspiracy theories Chamish ties together the Illuminati, the Rothschilds, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Freemasons, Jesuits, Frankists and the Sabbateans (followers of the false messiah Shabbatai Tzvi whom Chamish claims are behind the Holocaust, the Disengagement and pretty much everything else) into a bizarre concoction familiar to those who occasional encounter the writings of conspiracy nuts. Every death of a famous person in Israel from Ofra Haza to Rafael Eitan was the work of Shabak. (JFK he claims however was killed by the Mossad.) Chamish also blames Shabak for many of the terrorist attacks that have occurred in Israel. In response to the derision and disgust his ghoulish lies elicit from the families of the dead, he claims of course that they are in denial or blackmailed.

There's no shortage of Chamish's in the world, some more famous than others. They discredit every movement they are affiliated with through their lunatic claims. More seriously given airtime they mislead and obstruct. An example of this was Chamish warning against signing a petition against disengagement distributed by the Yesha council. But the broader problem is that they inspire unfocused paranoia and defeatism diverting attention and resources from the real struggle and into fighting phantoms and shadows. Instead of fighting Disengagement, Chamish diverts attention into his ramblings about secret US bases and hidden armies and Netvision's conspiracy to cut off his internet service and the Sabbatean\Illuminati \Rockerfeller \Rothschild \Freemasonic \Frankist \Jesuit conspiracy.

Conspiracy nuts also tend to foster division. Predictably Chamish has gone on a rampage against figures on the right such as Steven Plaut and Daniel Pipes claiming that they're part of the conspiracy too. Sadly Reuven Koret of the otherwise excellent Israelinsider site has joined him in this madness. When our efforts should be focused on Disengagement, they instead become diverted into infighting all the while as Chamish claims that it's all the work of the Freemasons and brandishes low resolution photographs of concrete walls. As long as Chamish continues to be heard on the right, good people will be taken in by his nonsense and resources will be diverted from the real struggle.

Ariel Sharon: Israel's Tyrant on a Battered Throne

For the first time in Israel's history, Tzahal which was meant to protect the people of Israel has been turned against the people of Israel. Soldiers are faced with the choice of obeying illegal and criminal orders or disobeying them and being sentenced and made an example of. As at Tiennamen Square or in the streets of Moscow at the beginning of the previous decade; the army becomes a tool of tyranny against their brothers and sisters and the individual soldier is faced with the choice of following his honor and morals or following orders.

The transition between a citizen's army to a tyrant's army is that a citizen's army exists for the defense of the nation and is composed of citizens carrying out a public duty while the tyrant's army exists to implement the tyrant's policies regardless of their own will. They are mere instruments of the state with power and authority fully vested in the tyrant. This is the vision that Sharon has of Tzahal's role. An instrument for carrying out his decisions. Those who argue that soldiers are obligated to obey orders above all else are casting their vote for this same role as well.

Some will be outraged by this description. Some will argue that the Knesset has voted. Yet few tyrannies are pure tyrannies. Most are ogliarchies. The Knesset has become a body torn apart by secretarian fighting and conveniently divided by Sharon in a policy of divide and conquer that pits secularists against the religious and the left against the right with the Prime Minister emerging as the winner. Sharon's policies and practices are not democratic. He is seeking to centralize power within his own person with no regard for the law.

'Boomerang's investigate reporting revealed that Sharon began to seek power over the military by spying on IDF generals and then by manipulating military appointments to create a general staff and a military leadership that was compliant and willing to obey Sharon, with possible Knesset seats being held out for them as an option after leaving Tzahal. The removal of General Yaalon was only Sharon's most visible act in centralizing control over the military.

The confrontation with the settlers in which soldiers are forced to do immoral and unlawfull things will allow Sharon the opportunity to purge the lower ranks of the IDF of officers who would not automatically obey illegal orders while at the same time creating 'examples' of those soldiers and officers who do not do as they are told.

The expulsion of the Jews of Gush Katif thus has a greater purpose for Sharon and that is to destroy any opposition from within the military by pitting them against the Religious Zionists who are heavily represented in the military and follow the commands of G-D rather than Ariel Sharon. By staging the confrontation Sharon expects to emerge with control of a compliant military with the unwitting collaboration of the left which hates the settlements more than Sharon and thus refuse to grasp the outcome of Sharon's plans. The Haredim meanwhile who have experienced some of the force of Sharon's determination to destroy religious political power despise religious zionists and have more greed than common sense to realize what is coming.

Some opponents of disengagement, including prominent Rabbis, have argued that encouraging soldiers to disobey subverts democracy. Yet it is obeying the illegal orders of a tyrant determined to use the military to wage war on his political opponents and assault men, women and children that subverts democracy. Obeying orders does not salvage democracy, citizens in the military and outside it, defying illegal acts by their government is the only possible thing that can and does preserve democracy.

Police General Who Ordered Beating Settlers Keeps Job

"I want arrests and I am telling you to use water cannons without holding back. Don't call me, just use the cannons. S__t on them. Let them burn. Use the cannons and batons. Hit them on their lower body and work the way you know how."


"I know these Haredim...I want arrests, arrests is what will break them...I am not a whore who opens her legs... that they will learn."

So spoke Brigadier General Niso Shaham, police commander for the Negev region who first barred the demonstration from taking place and then tried to crush it. He will not lose his job or his post though. For his incompetence in speaking out loud where he could be recorded by a reporter, what was on the minds and in the hearts of Sharon's henchmen, there will be a reprimand and later to be followed by a promotion.

Shaham who once headed police forces in Yerushalayim, renowned for their brutality to protesters and their contempt for the law particularly under the Rabin\Peres\Barak era such as beating Women in Green members and then arrested them for assaulting police officers, is the epitome of what Sharon seeks, compliant thugs to enforce the rulings of his regime.

One of my previous post produced outraged reactions from one pair of bloggers who ranted that I was slandering the police. I am not slandering the police. If anything I am being too kind. The police received orders from their commander to brutalize and abuse men, women and children. They followed those orders as much as they could and they will go on following those orders.

Niso Shaham showed his true face and he is no exception to the rule. His behavior will go unpunished. His achievements in suppressing protests that might impede Sharon's criminal and illegal acts will be praised.

Bush Debates Recognizing Israel

The Bush administration reacted harshly to a bill passed in Congress which has such outrageous provisions as restricting aid to Bush's terrorist friend Abbas, transforming military aid to Egypt into economic aid for a state whose state controlled media calls for the destruction of America and worst of all, from the standpoint of America's most senile President since Methushelah; listing Americans born in Yerushalayim as being born in Jerusalem, Israel.

As one of those people who was born in Yerushalayim this is an issue that matters to me, not because it's a stamp on a piece of paper but because of what it really stands for. Consider this quote from the administration's objections.

“The permanent status of Jerusalem is a volatile issue with sensitivities throughout the region and needs to be resolved by the parties,” the statement said. “The president has stated that such provisions impermissibly interfere with his constitutional authority to formulate the position of the United States, speak for the nation in international affairs, and determine the terms on which recognition is given to foreign states.”

Somehow simply accepting that an individual born in a city that was the historical capital of Israel and has functioned undeniably as the current capital of Israel for nearly four decades is controversial. But more than is that Bush is stating here that this issue goes to the 'terms on which Israel is recognized' which suggests that the process of recognizing Israel remains incomplete as far as America is concerned and that the failure to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital is a matter of determining a recognition of Israel that has not yet occured.

The Gush Katif Rally - Two Hours on Times Square

Within sight of the glass walled MTV studios where teenage girls usually jump and down waiting for the members of their favorite boy bands, Avraham Fried was performing. The sun shone brightly off the skyscrapers, metal and glass reflecting the light and heat like mirrors as he effortlessly jumped back and forth. The campers who had come from their day camps, the boys in orange and the girls in pink, repeated the song after him. Gush Katif, you are not alone. A black bicycle messenger rode by and flashed two fingers in a V, Peace Out.

Orange was everywhere. Orange bracelets, orange t-shirts, orange buttons and even orange pants. One woman had dyed her dark hair bright orange. Girls tore strips from orange cloth and handed them out to people. Soon they were flapping as armbands, bandannas, headbands, neckties and wrapped around pony tails. The strips of orange cloth were passed hand to hand. Above them waved the green and yellow banners brought by Chabad. Poster boards were taken out and hand lettered signs made. The crowds drifted in filling up the sidewalk on three sides of the streets and the police continued to set up new barriers to accommodate the overflow.

I had been at a lot of rallies over the years since Israel had begun to head on the path of self-destruction and surrender and encouragement of terrorism. Rabin. Peres. Barak. Netanyahu and now Sharon. There were some in the crowd, an attitude not limited to age, who thought victory would be Sharon's fall from power but Sharon was only another general turned political. It was an attitude we were truly fighting. An attitude of hopelessness and futility. The black hole politicians look into when they see the future and turn on their own people. Rabbi Riskin stood on the makeshift stage and called, "Ayeca where are you Arik? You Who helped build the settlements?"

Rabbi Riskin had run the Lincoln Square Synagogue twenty blocks or so from here turning it from a Conservative Shul to an Orthodox one before being persuaded by Israel's then ambassador, Yitzchak Rabin to move to Israel. Now Rabbi Riskin was the Chief Rabbi of Efrat and had spent the time since Oslo struggling to understand what had gone wrong with the people who had once supported the settlements. A gentle soft spoken man who still spoke in a conciliatory manner emphasizing that Sharon was not a dictator, he appealed to him in the name of humanity. He had once marched in the Civil Rights marches with a Sefer Torah. In Israel he had been arrested and the Sefer Torah taken from him. After the assassination of Rabin he had sat on a Nightline panel while Chaim Ramon and the left wing panelists had blustered and threatened.

"If you do not follow our democracy, we will crush you!" Ramon had shouted. He had not crushed Rabbi Riskin who had gone on trying to gently explain what was wrong with the situation. At the hilltop the settlers had taken near Efrat, the police had dragged him down along with his Sefer Torah and taken the Sefer Torah from him and he had never become angry. He had not learned anger now and he still had hope. He had not been crushed either by becoming afraid and dispirited as Ramon and the other thugs of the Labor party hoped, nor had he become crushed by becoming cynical, bitter and hatefull. Instead he was the same gentle man appealing in a conciliatory tone to the humanity of Ariel Sharon, the man who was sending out police to stop buses and arrest their drivers for merely heading in the same direction as Gush Katif. Rabbi Riskin had not been crushed.

Avraham Fried danced back and forth pivoting easily despite the heat which nearly reached 100 degrees Fahrenheit. He seemed to have boundless energy. A woman who had come in a wheelchair smiled to see the children dance as he danced. The police waved taxis and trucks through. A businessman in the back of a limousine looked up from his blackberry trying to make sense of the scene. Another driver passing by yelled something out the window but it was impossible to hear. The river of steel and flesh that is New York traffic flowed through one of its greatest channels, Times Square between us. The diminutive Charlotte of AFSI (Americans for a Safe Israel) which had been organizing poorly attended rallies year after year, moved back and forth through the crowd selling orange bracelets for Gush Katif. Her head barely reached the blockades and she was old but not the oldest one there. A man in his 80's had come from Long Island. He attended every rally. Even if Israel had given up on itself, he had not given up on Israel and he never will.

So many Jews had come here now. At every rally you think no one will come. You see the few who have gathered here behind the barricades and you judge the rally a failure but then they come streaming in. Chabad Hassidim in black hats and open white shirts. They tied orange ribbons around their black hats like festive puritans. Campers came from day camps on worn yellow buses chanting, "Torah Tzivah Lanu Moshe". Women in tank tops and long dresses. Men in black and t-shirts and baseball caps. A black woman with a baby and a little boy with a yarmulke watched from her seat. An Asian group moved through the crowd, one of them wearing an orange yarmulke for Gush Katif. It was almost an ingathering of exiles from all the four corners of the world. A man passed by in a New York Yankees tee, his arms covered in colorful tattoos, on the back of his neck the tattoo was simpler though; "Never Forget."

That is what a rally truly is. Politicians do not listen to rallies and if Sharon will not listen to 200,000 Israelis, would he really listen to 10,000 at Times Square? A rally is an act of remembrance. We remember who we are. We gather together to remember the truth and make it clear so that others will remember it too. Throughout the shadow of Oslo we had gathered by the tens, by the hundreds and rarely by the thousands to remember what was true in a world overshadowed by propaganda and lies when Israel is blamed for everything by the world, by the Arabs and by the Left both here and in Israel. We remember the truth.

On the stage Dov Hikind spoke. Dr. Frager who has fought tirelessly for Yerushalayim, the President of Young Israel, Pesach Lerner and Morton Klein of ZOA who had taken over Rabbi Stephen Wise's organization and turned it into a true Zionist organization which had fought for Israel when AIPAC was showing Palestinian lobbyists around Capitol Hill and introducing them to congressmen. Dov Hikind finished his speech and wandered back into the crowd. Charlotte passed him, her little arm covered in orange bracelets. Banners and flags waved on all sides of the street. Former Nixon White House official G. Gordon Liddy spoke by cell phone but no one could hear him. The yellow buses took the campers home but the rally was still going strong.

On stage Rocky Ziegler sang, "the enemy will not conquer us." The crowd swayed and sang along. The sun which had faded brightened and came out again to shine in its fierce light. There were no news updates but we knew in Israel the true heroes and marchers were under siege now at Kfar Maimon. The burning sun we felt was only a little of what they were going through. Men and women circulated through the crowd with water pouring out something to drink for the rally participants and sharing their water. Water is spirt and in sharing it a little of the spirt of Gush Katif was here too.

Why Civil Disobedience in Israel is failing

Civil disobedience in Israel is premised on heavily American and Western European ideas. Israel though is more Middle Eastern than American. Civil disobedience however only works when those engaging in it are more willing to break the rules than those in power. In a tyrannical regime civil disobedience is of little use.

Time and time again Sharon has pushed forwards by simply breaking more rules. In response to sit downs in the road, he sends Shabak agents to throw nails and gasoline on the roads. If response to buses heading to a rally, his agents stop the buses and throw out the passengers. Soldiers who refuse illegal orders are convicted and jailed in show trials. Passive resistance is met with violent assaults. Symbolic gestures with physical ones. The media oversees it all and slanders the victims. This is the nature of a tyrannical regime.

Those engaging in civil disobedience are taking actions premised on the idea that the mechanisms of the state can be brought to a halt by it. But that works when the state follows some rules, when the state follows only whatever rules it makes up on the spot, symbolic gestures and peaceful protests are the lamb protesting against the wolf's dinner menu.

Why Anti-Semitism is a Mental Illness

The word Anti-semitism has been far too often overused. Coined by a German Jewhater it has long since lost its meaning and become a cliche, a punch line. To accuse someone of Anti-semitism today is to be laughed at.

The larger problem though is not that Anti-semitism is so prevalent that it has become a cliche, but that the very notion has at its heart a fundamental error. Both Jews and non-Jews treat the hatred of Jews as an expression of bigotry, as if it was racism directed at blacks or asians. Yet it is nothing of the kind. Hatred of Jews is not racial because indeed it is found at least as prevalent among Jews as non-Jews.

When Jews experience it from another Jew, their response is to call it self-hatred; but such a description which accurate enough in many ways as we shall see, it also woefully inadequate. The false distinction made between Anti-semitism by non-Jews which we describe as a kind of racial hatred and hatred of Jews by Jews which we describe as self-hatred is no distinction at all. They both hate the very same thing. It is only when we understand this that we can move towards an accurate understanding of the problem. In an era when our enemies are as likely to have the name Finkelstein or Chomsky as Duke or Farrakhan, denying the pervasiveness and vigor of Jewish Anti-semitism is delusional and dangerous.

The Jewish physician Dr. Leon Pinsker preferred the term, 'Judeophobia' to the word Anti-Semitism coined by German nationalist and professional Jewhater, Wilhelm Marr. The term 'Judeophobia' is far more accurate descriptive of the phenomenon than Anti-semitism for two reasons.

First of all, Judeophobia covers both hatred of Jews by Jews and non-Jews.

Secondly Judeophobia most accurately describes the nature of the hatred of Jews. It is not a prejudice so much as it is a mental illness.

Judeophobes historically tend to fall apart into utter inconsistent ravings when attacking Jews. The Communists have accused the Jews of being in the pay of the Capitalists. The Capitalists accused the Jews of being Communists. The Catholic Church spent endless centuries demanding that Jews convert to Christianity and when they did in Spain, spent the next century persecuting them even more harshly.

Judeophobes frequently demonstrate the symptoms of a phobia and a mental illness when dealing with the Jews. The composer Richard Wagner, who would help to inspire Hitler and Nazism, demanded that a Jewish composer not be allowed to conduct his opera except wearing gloves. Truman's Secretary of Defense James Forrestal began claiming there were Israeli agents behind every rock and finally committed suicide. The insane mathematician John Nash, subject of A Beautiful Mind too quickly created paranoid fantasies involving the Jews. Beginning with the mad syphilitic at the top, Nazi Germany was a conduit for utterly lunatic ravings about the Jews that were yet more symptoms of their insanity.

And Jews are far from immune from such demented behavior. Today Norman Finkelstein has made a career of sneering at the Holocaust. Israel Shamir and Gilad Atzomni pen demented screeds accusing Jews of actual blood libels. The spokesman for Reform Judaism, Rabbi Eric Joffe writes letters to Bush demanding that he pressure Israel. Karl Marx who innovated Marxism accompanied his plans for a new and better world with the usual Anti-semitic rants about the Jews, though he was Jewish himself. From Torquemada chief of the Spanish Inquisition to the Soviet Union's Yevsektsia to the Klan leader who turned out to have been Bar Mitzvah'd, to the ranks of Al Awda and Women in Black; Jews have been in the forefront of hating and persecuting Jews.

Lest anyone think these are extreme examples, consider this. Much of the world agrees on little else except that Israel is the cause of the world's crises. Take together the two major religions of the world in all their various forms and the one thing they agree on is the evils of the Jews. At a time in America when liberals, conservatives, neo-conservatives and even radical Communists could agree on nothing; the one thing they could agree on is that the world would be a better place without Israel and the Jews. How else can we describe this except as Judeophobia, as delusional beliefs given great force in the psyche.

Dr. Pinsker viewed the term Judeophobia as emerging from Demonophobia, or the fear of demons. As most of the world once believed in demons, most of the world believes in the Jewish threat. Unlike other prejudices, location means nothing. Japan is filled with bestsellers about the economic war of the Jews on Japan. Poland which has a bare 3000 Jews left is filled with Anti-Semitic literature. All 1 Billion Muslims who have successfully driven all but a tiny handful of Jews from their lands can think of nothing more, day or night, than a tiny strip of land in which those Jews still remain. What else can this be but madness?

It is time to abandon discussions of Anti-semitism as if it was a racial prejudice that could be resolved with a little communication and exposure and acknowledge and begin to treat Judeophobia for what it is; a mental illness suffered by both Jews and non-Jews.

Since the hairnets, sorry kippas, go for 40 dollars a piece and the price of labor being what it is, add to that the cost of setting up a website and then putting up a press release which snags the attention of the Jerusalem Post features editor in his endless appetite for stories that mock Judaism and voila, Rina gets a Jerusalem Post cover story promoting her 40 dollar hairnet.

America, truly a promised land for selling expensive things to suckers. The only people doing better than her are selling red strings for 15 bucks a pop.

British tolerance for Muslim terrorists led to bombings

Item 1: Mohamed Guerbouzi, an Al Queda commander, is being sought by British authorities in connection with the bombings. Guerbouzi had been sought in connection with numerous bombings including attacks in Morocco and the Al Queda Madrid bombings. He was living in England for over a decade and was easily tracked down by a newspaper despite an international arrest warrant, and best of all was living off his wife's public assistance checks.

Item 2: Britain has welcomed in and protected terrorists. Taliban and Al Queda fighters returning to England were welcomed back rather than detained or barred from the country. Egyptian Islamic terrorists received asylum status. Israel's wanted terrorists who holed up in the Church of the Nativity were welcomed into the UK as well and then unsupervised and allowed to leave the country. Top terrorist sheiks like Hamza and Quatada also operate out of the UK.

Item 3: The UK has longstanding ties to appeasing terrorism and terrorists. Blair has been the dominant force in pushing Bush over a Palestinian state. The British have squarely backed Palestinian terrorists and proceeded to even turn against the War on Terror. Palestinian terrorists have been welcome in London. Blair met and honored Syria's Assad who sponsors a number of terrorist groups. British suicide bombers struck Mike's Place and England still did nothing. British Imams and Sheiks have even recruited terrorists for suicide bombings in Israel but the British did not act feeling secure that it couldn't possibly affect them; well now it has.

As with 9/11 the dust has yet to settle and the far left is mostly claiming it was the work of MI operatives in order to smear Muslims but the second popular theory now already blames Israel. At Indymedia the current equivalent of '4000 Jews never showed up to work' is already being trumpeted based on a report that an alert was put out by Scotland Yard shortly before the attacks which resulted in Netanyahu staying in his hotel.

A liberal serial killer blogs for terrorists

Joseph Edward Duncan III (as if we needed a first or a second) who had sexually assaulted a 14 year old boy at gunpoint and was recently arrested for several murders and the kidnappings and possibly murders of two children kept a blog (doesn't everybody these days) called the Fifth Nail, a Christian refference. The blog itself is offline but still exists in the google archive. It contains such deep liberal thought as these. Note the sickening liberalism that is at the heart of evil. Liberalism promotes evil because it denies responsibility. It gives an opening to murderers to kill and also provides them with a philosophy justifying their crimes as the fault of society and themselves as its victims.

Steven Spielberg plots to defame Israel

Thus speaks the man who will be doing the final draft for the screenplay of Steven Spielberg's new movie on the Munich massacre. The movie however will not be about the massacre of Israel Olympic athletes. Don't imagine that Steven Spielberg and Kushner will want to show the bravery of the athletes or the evil of their killers or the complicity of the German government in the massacre. Not at all.

The original draft by Eric Roth would have allotted 15 minutes of the massacre. 15 minutes of the movie. This Spielberg determined was too much. So speaks the New York Times article

"In Mr. Roth's script, for instance, the Munich killings dominated the first 15 minutes of the movie. Mr. Spielberg, the readers said, was still weighing how to depict the massacre without minimizing its power, but also without overpowering the audience."

Now Spielberg who had no trouble devoting the opening of 'Saving Private Ryan' to bloody and horrific scenes of the invasion of Normandy including shots that featured a soldier's intestines spilling out of his stomach, is now worried about 'overpowering' the audience by showing the actual massacre of Israeli athletes. Whenever directors talk about showing scenes without minimizing their power, what they really mean is they want to minimize their power so it does not overshadow their film's agenda which is to diminish the suffering of the victims and the evil of their killers.

Instead of being about the massacre of Israeli athletes the movie will be about the Mossad agents sent out to assassinate the terrorists feeling guilty and ambivalent about their missions. As Michael Oren points out:

"It's the flip side of the rationally motivated Palestinian terrorist: you can't have a Jew going to exact vengeance and not feel guilt-ridden about it, and you can't have a Palestinian who's operating out of pure evil - it's got to be the result of some trauma."

Spielberg's Holocaust film was predictably not about Jews resisting the Holocaust but about Schindler, a non-Jew intervening to save Jews. Indeed a serious movie about the Jewish resistance has yet to be made. Hollywood Holocaust movies show Jews mainly as helpless victims. American liberal Jews like Spielberg remain uncomfortable with the idea of Jews as victors. The image of Jews hunting down their killers is an uncomfortable one, whether those killers are Nazis or Arab terrorists. Ultimately the Jews must suffer and pay the price and if they are to kill, the lesson that comes out of it is that killing is evil and that the Jews who kill even in self-defense are scarred by it.

What is the real concern of Spielberg's film? It is not to commemorate the dead. It is not to condemn the massacre. It is certainly not to show the heroism of those who avenged and eliminated the PLO terrorists. We can see the goal of a project by its consultants. Spielberg has not consulted with the Mossad agents themselves. He has not consulted with Israelis. According to the article his consultants appear to be former Clinton administration officials, Dennis Ross, former Clinton White House spokesman Mike McCurry and Bill Clinton himself. What do any of these people have to do with the Munich massacre?

Ross for example was 23 when the massacre happened. He's certainly not there to provide input on the massacre of Israeli athletes or even the followup events. Nor are any of the others. They are there to achieve Spielberg's real goal which is to produce a movie that he believes will make a specific statement about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Bringing on board Clinton administration officials who had key involvement in the peace process serves that goal, the goal being propaganda not history. In The Last Days Spielberg attempted to endorse the fiction of a black brigade liberating Auschwitz to promote Black Jewish relations. It is safe to say that we can expect much grander dissembling here.

"By experiencing how the implacable resolve of these men to succeed in their mission slowly gave way to troubling doubts about what they were doing, I think we can learn something important about the tragic standoff we find ourselves in today," Spielberg said.

The message of course here is that 'violence' is not the answer. Violence being any Israeli attempt at self-defense. The point of the movie is to learn 'something important.' Not to commemorate the dead. Not to remember a horrific act of violence. But to learn that fighting terrorism is not the answer. Only making concessions to terrorism works. That is why Clinton's little men are his advisers, so he can hammer that message home to American and Israeli Jews who may have gotten hawkish on terror.

That is why Kushner, who hopes Israel will no longer exist, was brought in to humanize the terrorists, which we are assured will not increase sympathy for them in any way. The proper response to terrorism in the liberal mindset is defeatism. It is a recognition that your murderers have a good point and they can't possibly be beaten. Instead they must be conceded to. By transforming Israel's assault on the terrorists into a defeat, Spielberg can cinematically redefine one more event in Israeli history as evidence that Israel must give in to the terrorists. That the book Spielberg is relying on has been discredited, that the agent who serves as his adviser was never in the Mossad, but circulated stories about it in order to gain work and fame are irrelevant because the objective is not history but another plot twist in the long running bomb the 'Peace Process.'

If Spielberg has chosen to prostitute his talents as the Leni Riefensthal of Oslo it is not coming off a career high. A.I. was a disaster at the box office, so was the Terminal. Catch Me If You Can was obscure and Minority Report was far from the success Spielberg films have traditionally enjoyed. Spielberg's star is fading and a film in which he advocates the liberal Jewish agenda may not be a box office success but it will surely cement his ideological reputation particularly in the wake of the flak he caught for supporting the Bush administration's invasion of Iraq.

Hollywood people tend to fall into the trap of thinking of themselves as more than actors and directors but as activists with a responsibility to speak out on issues and change the world. After what he and many feel are his successes in the Holocaust and World War II, his next step may be to tackle the Oslo frontier.

New Zealander Chutzpah takes the Kiwi

How else can one describe New Zealand PM and Head Witch Helen Clark demanding that Israel apologize for the supposed abuse of New Zealand passports by two Israelis, who she claimed were Israeli spies. Clark made the apology a precondition for the resumption of diplomatic relations.

Israel then apologized for the actions of its citizens, while stating once again they were not spies. Clark triumphantly held up the apology as a vindication that they had been spies all along.

"We believe there was a very good reason for the apology. The apology has been offered and I think it speaks for itself," Clark told reporters, "It is an acknowledgment that these people were associated with Israeli intelligence agencies. That's always been our belief. What I know is that no country apologizes for the actions of any two ordinary citizens caught up in fraud in another country. There has to be a reason for them to apologize."

Yes Helen, there is a bloody obvious reason for Israel to apologize. You held Israel hostage by demanding that Israel apologize for the illegal actions of two random Israelis before diplomatic relations could be resumed. No normal country does that. Then you trumpet the apology as proof you were right all along.

This is the equivalent of two little kids arguing.

Bobby: Why did you tell your brother to kick me?

Tommy: I didn't tell him to kick you! He did that on his own!

Bobby: Say you're sorry for your brother kicking me or I won't ever talk to you again

Tommy: Okay, I'm sorry my brother kicked you

Bobby: Ha, that's proof. You wouldn't apologize unless you told him to kick you.

This is what it all comes down to. This is the proof one of the ugliest world leaders since Gorbachev has to offer. That and the belief they were sorta vaguely had something to do with somebody's cousin who ran the Mossad cafeteria.

Clark declined to confirm that the agency involved was the Mossad. "We never used that particular ... agency's name, but from the outset we've said we believe the two men were associated with Israeli intelligence," she said.

So they aren't spies anymore. Now they're just associated with some other Israeli intelligence agency? What other agency? You'd think after jailing the two men and starting an international incident by accusing Israel of making handicapped kids cry, she'd have some idea.

Are they supposed to be with Mossad, Shabak, do they warm the meals on El Al Flight 301? To sum up Clark can't name any agency they're with. Now they're not even members of that agency but supposedly have something to do with some Israeli agency whose name Clark doesn't know anyway.

Most blood libels were better constructed than this.
