The Biden campaign hid the names of its 2020 big money fundraisers until right before Election Day. The list of bundlers who managed to raise at least $100,000 for Biden included Jamal Abdi: the executive director of NIAC Action. NIAC Action had endorsed Biden and celebrated by tweeting, “our long, national nightmare is almost over. AP has called the race for Joe Biden”. NIAC is often referred to as the Iran Lobby and was founded by Trita Parsi who had previously created, “Iranians for International Cooperation” which admitted that it existed to “safeguard Iran’s and Iranian interests”. Since 2016, the Democrats defined their primary political purpose not around agenda items like abortion rights, fighting racism, unlimited immigration or gay marriage, but saving democracy. Who did democracy have to be defended from? Republicans. Previous incarnations of the Democrats had made their case that Republicans were too extremist, too beholden to wealthy special interests or too bigoted to be trusted with power. In its latest incarnation, the case has been boiled down to the simple premise that the survival of the country requires stopping Republicans from taking office by any means necessary. In 2020, Biden snapped to the host of a black radio show, “Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” The host had wanted him to stay and answer more questions and Biden curtly dismissed the idea that there were any more questions to ask. 33 people were shot over the weekend in Chicago. Urban gangland violence like that is what real “mass shootings” look like and finally a Journal of the American Medical Association paper addressed the problem by shifting the blame to something it calls “structural racism”. The JAMA paper, which was quickly picked up by CNN as “Structural Racism may Contribute to Mass Shootings” and by Bloomberg as “Mass Shootings Disproportionately Victimize Black Americans”, acknowledged what conservatives have been saying about gun violence. “There was no discernible association noted in this study between gun laws and MSEs [mass shootings] with other studies showing similar findings,” it noted. Senator Chris Murphy has proposed combating widespread loneliness in the country by creating a National Office of Loneliness. This new arm of the government would use the CDC to track loneliness statistics and develop a national strategy to fight loneliness including creating guidelines telling Americans how many friends they should have to be less lonely. The only ones keeping company with the National Office of Loneliness would be the myriad of other White House offices including the Office of Public Engagement, the Office of Neighborhood Partnerships, and the Office of Communications which all claim to talk to the public. The serial indictments and investigations of former President Trump are meant to rig the 2024 presidential election, but the latest indictment is unique in rigging even its aftermath.
