Dr. Abdul El-Sayed’s victory in the Democrats’ U.S. Senate primary in Michigan last Tuesday was the latest sign of an emerging kingmaker in U.S. politics – a little-known super PAC that has tapped the wealth of a new cadre of Muslim-American mega-donors to support far-left candidates. Since it was launched just six months ago, American Priorities has channeled millions of dollars, primarily from donors with Arab, Muslim, and/or Middle Eastern backgrounds, to a string of winning candidates in high-profile races…Opponents see such candidates’ anti-Zionism as ultimately indistinguishable from antisemitism, with their rhetoric aimed at demonizing and delegitimizing a free and democratic Jewish state. They hear the AIPAC attacks as dog whistles for age-old tropes about cabals of wealthy Jews controlling policymakers, and as insinuating Jewish dual loyalty – ginning up Jew-hatred and sowing domestic discord….
Murderous regimes always convey their exact intentions, and their dirty deeds back them up. It would be ill-advised to not take their threats seriously.
