A Hunger Strike in Israel

Meyer Bartler, one of the Jews expelled from his home, was arrested when he tried to return to his family to be with his son and is now on a hunger strike and has been for over 24 hours.
18 Jews from Yitzhar had been placed under house arrest or outright expelled from their homes and families without any criminal charges whatsoever being brought against them, for a period anywhere between three months and a year. No compensation of any sort was given and the pretext used was that they 'might' disturb the Arab olive harvest.
