I knew that he was socialist/marxist and that he had muslim friends but I never dreamed that he would go to bat for Islam. So we have buffoons in Homeland Security, the Justice Department and the Intelligence community that cannot put Islam and terrorism together in a sentence. Now they have to govern them, which they'll do poorly because Sharia law is suited to governing a certain kind of Utopia that's just as unattainable as socialism.

When the masses become restless, their lot having worsened under Sharia, the governing mullahs will redirect their anger towards the Great and Little Satan, arm them and send them off to war, where they'll slaughtered.

Failure at every turn awaits the mullahs because they're not equipped to raise their political game to the next level to compete with enemies who have.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-32736077297949596792012-01-02T02:30:39.194-05:002012-01-02T02:30:39.194-05:00@dee
Maybe part of the reason for that is because...@dee

Maybe part of the reason for that is because we are so dependent on those around us. Very few of us know how to fight, how to shoot, how to grow food, how to make clothes (badly or well), how to make shoes, how to fix a car, basic electronics, etc. etc.

The result is that the individual is dependent on society not just for advantage, but for his very life. This isn't to say that anyone should go into the desert and learn to live on rocks. It is to say that as long as you do not have the ability to walk off, then you are not going to be truly free.

Most people don't have a second passport, or an overseas bank account, they don't even balance their own checkbook, and it would shock me if more than 1% of the population in any given State actually knew what the divorce and domestic violence laws were.

If you don't see where I'm going with this, I'll explain. Dependency breeds dependency. When you don't take care of yourself on the most basic level (survival), that attitude carries over to all levels. That's how you end up with a population that throws up it's hands and expects God to perform a miracle.

A word about miracles. The ability of a human being to blink his eyes is actually a far greater miracle than the splitting of the sea. According to some Jewish traditions, the sea didn't simply "move aside", they made 13 corridors of ice, whose walls reached up several hundred miles (I forget the exact height).

I actually believe that happened.

The reason that is not a problem for me to accept is because I realize that the ability of my hands to type on a keyboard is a far more bizarre thing than a one-time occurrence. We don't realize that, because we are used to it. But it is the CONSISTENCY of the event that is the REAL miracle, the true gift. This planet should have been wiped out years ago, by asteroids, plague, what have you. That the giant ball of radioactive gas creating thousands of nuclear explosions, a mere several million miles away hasn't blown us all to hell, is amazing. That we wake up every day is a amazing. These are true miracles.

People expect God to perform miracles, because like everything else in their lives they've grown accustomed to expecting everyone else to take care of them. They expect that not because they think they deserve it, because they completely lack any faith in their own G-d given ability to meet any challenges in their lives.

The truth is, we have the ability to achieve a lot, and survive far more than most of us would imagine. We can be a lot more stubborn than they realize. We can do these things, because we aren't really the ones making it happen. That's what God does. He is the one making all the "little" mundane things work. That's His game plan. If you work with Him, He'll work with you. If you prefer to play XBox all day and expect reality to sort itself out, He'll work with that too, only you won't be having much say in His calculations.

If you want G-d to keep you from drowning, then put some effort into learning how to swim and keep off of ships that head into icebergs.Ronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05349024830056532674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-58454868427693644442012-01-01T22:05:15.994-05:002012-01-01T22:05:15.994-05:00@dee - You've got a lot of nerve but you'r...@dee - You've got a lot of nerve but you're running low on the analytical scale. It is leading Western civilisation into ruin, and yet its timid adherents cling to its artificial comfort which allows them to sleep soundly at night.

While Islam credits Allah with precisely everything, since everything exists purely by His favour, it leaves nothing at all - nothing at all - in His hands. Instead, it tasks his followers with uncompromising devotion to achieve His wishes.

We, on the other hand, sit idly by consoling ourselves that our infidel gods are simply creating the illusion of torment and destruction to test our faith, and that in the end they will individually or collectively step in to save the day. One particularly sad poster actually constructed a timeline for his God to follow so that we can all live happily ever after.

It should come as no surprise that Islam is in ascendance as we fall in decline. Novelist-philosopher Ayn Rand noted:

“Evil, not value, is an absence and a negation, evil is impotent and has no power but that which we let it extort from us….. The spread of evil is the symptom of a vacuum. Whenever evil wins, it is only by default: by the moral failure of those who evade the fact that there can be no compromise on basic principles…. In any compromise between food and poison, it is only death that can win. In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit.” Obama is our Negater-in-Chief, an empty suit elected by people who knew what he stood for: an envious malice for everything America once stood for.Edward Clinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12160209827969614964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-71370376477871839552012-01-01T10:05:54.698-05:002012-01-01T10:05:54.698-05:00Daniel remarked: “There are only two possible expl...Daniel remarked: “There are only two possible explanations. Either we lost the war or Obama never intended to win it and was allowing the Taliban to murder American soldiers until the next election. If so we're not just looking at a bad man at the teleprompter, we are looking into the face of an evil so amoral that it defies description.”

It’s a relief to see someone call Obama evil. He is evil, not just because of his foreign policy, which is aimed at surrendering the world to his irrational allies (the Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban, Hugo Chavez, et al.), but because he wishes evil upon this country. Individuals are expendable to him; they don’t count when he considers the great lump of individuals called the public, so that’s why American soldiers lost their lives until he could make his next move on the chessboard of global politics. He never intended to win any war, except that waged by his allies in the various quadrants of Islam. Individuals, who own their own lives (not the government), can be sacrificed to his power-lusting ambition to gain control over reality, to force them into submission or face elimination or eradication. If Obama were top dog in some Islamic country, the citizens of that country would fare just as badly as those in Syria. Cruelty is in his character, married to an indifference to or contempt for reason. That explains his utter tone-deafness to the costs of Obamacare and the scandal of Solyndra and the failure of his economic policies (TARP, jobs, etc.), mandating blinders for those charged with fighting terrorism, sympathizing with OWS, etc.

The consequences of irrational policies matter not to him, because he is not touched by them. When he is out of office he will collect a sumptuous pension and enjoy perks and a Secret Service entourage, and emulate Bill Clinton and the Bushes and Carter and collect munificent fees for speaking all over the world on how the world must be remade in Marxist global terms. The only thing stopping him at the moment from just declaring himself Il Duce is the knowledge that he wouldn’t get away with it. Even the Democrats would be outraged. But this man has damaged this country, perhaps irreparably, and he deserves the scorn and contempt of every American.Edward Clinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12160209827969614964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-64154688393392444982012-01-01T09:24:39.111-05:002012-01-01T09:24:39.111-05:00"Evil has a way of destroying itself, and in ..."Evil has a way of destroying itself, and in his own backward way, Barry Hussein may have helped save civilization. I do not agree. But I will make thin...@Anonymous

I do not agree. But I will make things easier on you. Out of principle I despise all government, and I mistrust all government regardless of who is in charge. I am not here telling you how bad the Americans are vs. how wonderful the Israelis are. For one thing, I know too much about the Israeli government.

I am telling you that we are pretty fools for ignoring the ruthless natures of these bastards who run the systems we live under. To get power you must have money and power, and the sorts of people that have it, want more. Such people generally do not care if that involves toppling their own countries so long as they come out ahead.

This is true no matter what system you hold by. The solution is to be AWARE and not be a damn fool. To make noise, and hold these people accountable. Because these are people that will always take the easiest path. If you make a path very hard then they will prefer to find a simpler route to getting lots of money and power.

They are not men of principle, and you know what? That's exactly the way I want it.

Men of principle have a nasty tendency to get us into holy wars, or overturn centuries of tradition because they have found the "One True Way" that will save everyone. This usually involves lots of pain and sacrifice from everyone except the smooth talking orator who has made the ultimate sacrifice by sending the rest of us to be rendered into grist for the cause. Poor guy.

No men of principle for me thanks, I'd prefer good amoral pragmatists who know I'll take away their pretty toys if they overdo it. Another word for such MEN is "Statesmen".

This is why the American gov will give Egypt a great deal of money to buy weapons from US defense companies. The country of America as a whole loses, but the def. contractors and the bribed politicians win. But what can you do? People are stupid and they'll go along with anything if it has a nice bit of crap attached to it.

The entire Sinai deal was the result of a tremendous loss of nerve. The Yom Kippur war itself was the result of the unwillingness of the Israeli government to stand up to their dear friends in the world and do what they knew had to be done. I do not blame their dear friends. After all, governments do what governments do, that is, ruthlessly try to backstab and seek power. This is life. No, I blame the Israelis for showing so much weakness. I can't blame them too much, after all, they are under more pressure than anyone else. But this is how it is.

It was a bad deal. It was a bad deal to hand over all that territory, it was a bad deal to get a third party involved in a straightforward war that had effectively been resolved on the battlefield. It was abominably stupid to lose a potential client state to a ruthless (albeit mostly benevolent) superpower. It was criminal to let them get those weapons. And the absolute worst thing they did was accept that bribe money. That they didn't realize the money would be used as a perpetual club to smash them around shows both their failure in character as well as their utter lack of vision. Whether it was meant sincerely or maliciously, tt was welfare, and welfare is one of the most destructive forces known to man. I was a child and I knew what would happen with those tanks.

And by the way, I am not a Paulian. I believe he is one of the biggest con artists of them all. He claims to want to limit the Federal gov and abolish many self destructive agencies. Well that's fine and dandy, but the Executive branch doesn't have the power to do that, only the Legislative can pull that off. Just a little detail that the Paul campaign neglects to mention.Ronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05349024830056532674noreply@blogger.com
