Seemed U.S.
workers just had it too good with Capitalism.
Then, Polish Solidarity (a Union, of all things)
rejected the Soviets in the 1980s.

Apparently many people were too smart for the
Lefties. effects...The natural way things develop is by small
effects of nearby causes. We see this in the
formation of Earth by gravity, the chemistry
of life by many different reactions, a culture
from many personal interactions. A bottom-up
result of physical truth. Science observes and
ponders this and draws tentative conclusions.

Scientists are also affected by more than the
dispassionate practice of science. The hubris
to think that a ruler can force improvement by
“scientific” central decisions is often present.

Just because science helped us build airplanes,
cars, medicine is no reason to obey the next guy
in a white lab coat.

CharlieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-68546741635575520032020-01-13T13:26:02.338-05:002020-01-13T13:26:02.338-05:00Good points Anon. "It is the aim of all practical politics to keep the populace alarmed and hence clamoring to be led to safety, by menacing it with a constant series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." H.L. It is a transitive verb that, in its infinitive, means" to imprison, or to confine."

In this light, the noun "environment" means a confine, restraint or prison. As such, the noun should never properly be preceded by the definite article "the." There is no single, "the" environment. Understood properly, man is environed by multiple, overlapping and often abstract environments, of which the tangible natural environment is but one example.

Most pernicious to the free man are the abstract, social environments that imprison men. Taboos, "norms," taxes and other trains of comportment that are arbitrarily enforced on us all execute our imprisonment just as efficiently as cold weather, high humidities or hail storms might.

So it goes that "Environmentalism," the political, abstract social-ist enforcer, uses humans' natural fear of one environment, namely the real restraints put on man by the natural world, to environ free men in cages formed of abstract scolds and government-enforced taxes on our consumer choices. As the con goes, "The Environment" is our goad to herd into an oppressive, abstract environment and to slam the doors on ourselves!

Pity they don't teach Shakespeare at the Uni's anymore. Kids'd catch on to the con if they knew what environment really meant!
Steveaz
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
