Charles Lutwidge Dodgson),<br />1865, with the original illustrations by John<br />Tenniel. Dodgson and Tenniel were quirky old<br />Victorian Englishmen whose story brought me a <br />wealth of understanding for the humor, culture <br />of their day. <br /><br />Adapting the text into Ebonic or Valley Girl,<br />morphing the drawings with present symbols <br />would rip away the essence of this treasure.<br /><br />If Netflix or Disney want to put out today's <br />message, they can at least do it in a new story<br />of their own creation.
