If my understanding ...First, great piece as usual.

If my understanding of all this is correct, Jews and Philistines (listen to Pali TV - this is what they call themselves!) have been killing one another for nigh on 6,000 years. I figure it all goes back to Isaac and Ishmael - and is a good object lesson for what happens when one (a) ignores the orders of G*d and (b) diss somebody's Momma - but I digress.

This hasn't been solved in millenia - odds are it won't be solved in my lifetime.

I see it like this: If it were - somehow, magically - possible to disarm every Arab in the ME, Israel would peacefully go about its business and bother noone. If the reverse occurred - and our magic somehow disarmed every Jew in Israel, there'd likely not be one Jew left alive in less than 24 hours.

To me, this sums up the entire matter.

It's (actually, long PAST!) time for Israel to stop playing games with her enemies. 70-ish years of trying to be nice has only seen a 10-fold increase in the number of folks demanding Israeli land -- another object lesson, this time into what happens when you feed/clothe/house people with nothing else to do but procreate - a lesson which we should also apply to Ethiopia and other similar hell-holes (not to mention our US welfare-class) -- but again I digress...

I'm sick of the whole thing. Either bust off a chunk for the Palis, and make it clear that *ANY* attack will be met with extreme force, or kill them all now and get it over with.

Nothing else will ever work.

It seems clear that extermination of one group or the other is the only realistic option to achieve a permanent solution to this millennia-old conflict, but giving them the chance to do right FIRST - and fair-warning of the consequences of any further violence - is still the proper moral path IMHO...1Dedicated_Dadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06375339835638311982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-59772381643617868482010-03-21T22:18:33.349-04:002010-03-21T22:18:33.349-04:00all we can do is speak the truthall we can do is speak the truthDaniel Greenfieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13575285186581875356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-74341408445078820712010-03-21T22:15:15.337-04:002010-03-21T22:15:15.337-04:00What can we do to help? Why, if they are co-religionists, do Egypt and Jordan not feel some innate responsibility, instead of Israel?
