Friday Afternoon Roundup - The Survivor

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD

It used to be that you were supposed to win a Super Bowl before celebrating with a trip to Disney World as a public figure, but Obama can't stop doing his touchdown dances even as the country sinks faster. The similarities between Obama and Captain Francesco Schettino are a little too obvious.

The Captain ordering dinner as his ship is sinking and the elected leader of the United States partying on as the debt hits completely unsustainable levels are behaving the same way. Obama sinking the United States economy to do favors for his friends and Captain Schettino sinking a ship to wave to his buddy are the product of the same egotistical mentality.

If someone could just convince Obama that America was going down, then he would be on the first plane to wherever the good life is.

MUSLIM HATE GROUPS ON CAMPUS

My pamphlet on Muslim Brother hate groups on campus has been published and is available at the David Horowitz Freedom Center and Front Page Magazine. The campus Muslim Student Associations or MSA's are tied to a long history of Jihadist terror.

"Muslim Students Association leaders have gone on to become leading figures in terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda. Anwar al-Awlaki, for instance, was MSA president at Colorado State University before he became the leader of external operations for Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Ziyad Khaleel, was MSA president at Columbia College11 before he became Al-Qaeda’s procurement agent in the United States. Abu Mansoor al-Amriki, onetime MSA president at the University of South Alabama, is now the spokesman for the Al-Qaeda affiliate in Somalia. Wa’el Hamza Julaidan was MSA president at the University of Arizona before he became a co-founder of Al-Qaeda.

Some former MSA presidents are in prison on terrorism charges or actively involved in illegal activities. Abdul Rahman Alamoudi, a former MSA national president, is serving a 23-year sentence for illegal transactions with a state sponsor of terrorism.

Ohio State University’s MSA used its publication MSANEWS to distribute terrorist bulletins from Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Muhajiroun and even Osama Bin Laden. These bulletins included Bin Laden’s “Declaration of War” against the United States. (the introduction appended to Bin Laden’s words concluded: “Read and get ready for JIHAAD!!”) MSANEWS even maintained a special section dedicated to Bin Laden under its listing of “scholars,” which was featured on a CNN broadcast as an example of how Bin Laden used the Internet to spread his teachings. An MSANEWS bulletin from Al-Muhajiroun praised the Al-Qaeda attacks on American embassies in Africa, saying, “American interests are not safe anywhere in the world,” and “the Mujahideen will seek out and obliterate them into rubble as happened today.”

You can see the whole detailed write up in the pamphlet, Muslim Hate Groups on Campus. Anyone who cares about the Islamic intimidation of Jewish students and the radical activity of the Brotherhood on campus will find some interesting material here.

THE SURVIVOR

Whatever else Newt Gingrich is, he's a survivor. The establishment sank him once over Paul Ryan and he came back. It sank him a second time over Bain and once again he's back. A much hyped interview with his ex-wife hardly touched him no matter how often Drudge pushed the story.

With Perry out and Santorum lagging despite his apparent win in Iowa, Gingrich is pulling ahead as the Anti-Romney. Santorum still has a shot, but it's a longer haul and he may have been undermined by having a win stolen from him in Iowa. Had he emerged as the winner then there would have been a definite Anti-Romney going into South Carolina. Either man could cement the other's status by dropping out and endorsing the other, but that isn't too likely to happen soon.

Despite Gingrich's nine lives, the Marianne story shows that he needs to own his biography sooner rather than later. His debate position is entirely legitimate and popular, but at the same time he needs to find ways to connect his story to the grand ideas he's moving. Falling many times and still being able to get up again is a perfect metaphor for how many people see America today and for his own path. Being poor and achieving success would ground his talk of jobs over food stamps in a way that Romney can't.

Gingrich seems resistant to using his biography that way, but it's a time honored tradition in American politics and he will have to do it sooner rather than later. A humble biography helps offset the power of class warfare. Telling people that he doesn't come from diplomats and bank presidents, but hard working people is something he needs to do more often. And conceding that he has made mistakes and learned to overcome his weaknesses through faith and determination is something people need to hear, not necessarily right after a major scandal rollout, but during the campaign.

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION THROWING THINK PROGRESS UNDER THE BUS?

I wouldn't bet on it, but in a sign that Soros' Center for American Progress may have overreached in its attack on Jews, Jarrod Bernstein, the White House's liaison to the Jewish community tried to put some distance between CAP and the Obama Administration.

The problem is that the Center for American Progress is so closely linked to Obama that it's hard for Bernstein to plausibly pass off its views as distant. CAP has been the think tank for the administration.

"Cooper conveyed his concerns about CAP during a White House meeting last week with Obama’s newly appointed Jewish community liaison, Jarrod Bernstein, who told Cooper that the situation at CAP was “troubling” and not reflective of “this administration.”

Which means mainly that Jews have to be talked down this election.

The real issue is that the CAP boys began going after mainstream Jewish organizations for not being Anti-Israel and in one of their dumbest moves to date began bashing the Simon Wiesenthal Center. This is some of the blowback.

The National Jewish Democratic Council once again showed off its Uncle Tom stripes by defending CAP.

David Harris, president of the National Jewish Democratic Council, described CAP’s views on Israel and Iran as reflecting “mainstream positions and concerns of the American Jewish community — and indeed of most Americans.”

Clearly that's not true. CAP's views on Israel mirror those of Pat Buchanan. I went into more detail on this subject in my Front Page Magazine article, Soros Firsters Bash Israel.

The Center for American Progress is the brain of the Obama Administration, the think tank whose talking points feed back and forth out of the White House and into the media. Its attitude that anyone who defends Israel is the enemy speaks volumes about the ideological tenor in the highest offices of this government. Jilani and Gharib are at CAP because they fit its agenda and CAP fits the agenda of its corrupt billionaire backers. And it’s that agenda, more than the slurs of some of CAP’s bloggers who are doing the dirty work that they are paid to do, that should really worry anyone who cares about the future of this country and the free world.

George Soros has said, “It is a sort of disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything, but I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out.” In 2003 we all began living out Soros’ power mad fantasies when he declared that the central focus of his life was to force Bush out of office. That same year the Center for American Progress came into being under the impetus and with the financial backing of America’s newest self-made god.

You can see the rest of the article at Front Page Magazine

VERY SERIOUSLY

Update: CAP has "responded" to the Washington Post under the subheader, "Organization Takes Charges of Anti-Semitism Very Seriously".

Taking charges very seriously is usually the corporate mea culpa right after you messed up big time and you realize that you're supposed to nod long enough to be able to move past this.

"The Center for American Progress is and always has been pro-Israel, committed to a peace process that produces a durable two-state solution negotiated by the parties..." is how the response begins.

This is how it ends. "It is disappointing that in spite of our clear record and our recent actions, we continue to face political attacks that attempt to discredit our entire body of work on critical national security issues."

Meanwhile the first article on the sidebar of the site is Matt Duss' "Talking to the Muslim Brotherhood (Finally)". The Brotherhood's spiritual leader has praised Hitler and called for exterminating the Jews.

This is what the Center for American Progress supports.

"The only thing that I hope for is that as my life approaches its end, Allah will give me an opportunity to go to the land of Jihad and resistance, even if in a wheelchair. I will shoot Allah's enemies, the Jews, and they will throw a bomb at me, and thus, I will seal my life with martyrdom. Praise be to Allah."

And this...

Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption," he said. "The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them - even though they exaggerated this issue - he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of the believers."

... is it any wonder that the Center for Un-American Progress declared war on the Anti-Nazi Simon Wiesenthal Center.

  1. "Being poor and achieving success would ground his talk of jobs over food stamps in a way that Romney can't."

That makes sense and I could really warm up to him if he said those things with heart.

The Communist link--what politician in his/her right mind would do that?

  2. Obama doesn't need to be convinced. His purpose is to sink America. It isn't happening by happenstance but by design.

Great postings all. Sadly in my opinion the American Jewish "leaders" continue a shtetl mentality (i.e. behind the scenes ineffectual influencing with American "political" leaders)while allowing the Kapo wanna-bes in the media whose attentuated badge of Judaism, i.e. summer camp or Bar Mitzvah, free reign to undermine the legitimacy of Israel and the community's interests to serve their G-d of Liberalism. If one looks at the history of the actions of American Jews in confronting the Holocaust, one sees "reasoned" and quiet outreach is good for s#%t. Loud and proud, and don't worry about re-inforcing the stereotypes. You are not in the shtetl anymore. As for our Media Kapo Brothers and Sisters they should be the subject of community shame and expulsion in my opinion. They assist and drive the increasing levels of anti-semitism. Time to call a spade a spade.

CAP's views on Israel mirror those of Pat Buchanan.

That is probably unfair to Pat Buchanan. He at least understands that Islamism is sweeping the Arab world and that Arab society is hopelessly dysfunctional.

  6. Why do we insult a guy for his actions as opposed to his results?

Out of 4200 passengers, 11 are dead and 20 unaccounted for.

Back when "men were men" and "the captain went down with the ship", the Titanic lost 1150 passengers, fully 68%. Yet we praise her idiot captain because he "went down with the ship".

It would have been better if the bastard had gotten onto a lifeboat as quick as possible, maybe that way there would have been a proper panic and more lives would have been saved.

See Sultan, you need to understand that the English way of "pip pip" and "God save the Queen" is mostly bullshit that helps the queen. It also sounds good. But it doesn't actually do much good for anyone at the bottom.

  7. Addendum

I'm half kidding. Obviously the captain has to be there to get as many people onto the boats as he can. I'm just ticked off at all the shaming language directed at men for not using an antiquated, immoral, and downright stupid system of saving lives "women and children first" crappola.

  8. Anonymous, nice omment, but it's "free r4ein", not "reign."

Sultan, I downloaded your Muslims on Campus pamphlet and have a comment about the format.
I downloaded the Kindle version. While it is informative and well-written, the footnotes are all over the place, bundles of four or five smack in the middle of a page of text.

THis makes it very difficult to read properly, what with all the numbers and dashes and things.

Please put up a clearer Kindle version, with the footnotes at the back of the book (text).

I get they are probably supposed to be footnotes, but it's just a mess.

BTW, the sentence of the Palestinian mother "go, honey...martyr" is displaced, most of it appearing in the page preceding it, leaving the word "go" hanging. Please check and correct this.

THanks, keep up the good work.

  9. Somje dude, the "women and children first" "crapola" came from a military incident which involved soldiers.

The Italian captain (and crew) left his post and failed to look after the passengers as was his duty and (presumably) training, which is why he's attracted such opprobrium.

Poor men, being shamed all the time, generally the same men that clamour for the chance to be "men" but not grasping the chance when it's available.

The "shaming" language, FYI, was directed at the crew of the ship, not the passengers, many of whom, incidentally, showed an enormous amount of bravery and common sense rescue tactics of many people.
Sadly many couples have been forever torn apart by this tragedy.

SK here is another interesting incident. A leftwing writer on Daily Kos, Eric Allen Bell, wrote 2-3 articles criticizing Loonewatch. Spencer mentioned it on his blog. Next day Bell is removed as a writer on Daily Kos and is called you guessed it, an Islamophobe. You should read what Bell wrote, and now what other writers on Daily Kos is writing about Bell. Bell should have shut up and toed the pure party line. Now he is banished, and demonized. He has a more lonely road, than people on the right. A difference of opinion among the left is not tolerated by powers that be on the left. A leftist with a different view is a greater danger to the left than people on the right, so Bell will be attacked with all their might.

I am wondering if I should trademark the words "Media Kapos" should Obama gets re-elected? I mean, they will be out in droves to push his agenda and demands to neuter and destroy Israel's security in order to get invited to the right White House events.
