The fact that Elei Sinai residents are now living at Kibbutz Palmachim shows that it can work. I'm just wondering if practical solutions like this, at least as a temporary fix, wouldn't be better than letting these people languish in trailers and illegal add-ons.Friar Yid (not Shlita)https://www.blogger.com/profile/10311439778319103094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-66600103733919818942007-04-24T21:12:00.000-04:002007-04-24T21:12:00.000-04:00a kibbutz is also an ideological enterprise there ...a kibbutz is also an ideological enterprise

there is some political overlap now with some kibbutz figures even active in the anti-disengagement campaign... but it's still basically two different culturesDaniel Greenfieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13575285186581875356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-13966305940383613462007-04-24T18:33:00.000-04:002007-04-24T18:33:00.000-04:00This raises an interesting point- why isn't the go...This raises an interesting point- why isn't the government trying to house the former Gaza residents in kibbutzim? As they demonstrated for many years, they're not afraid of hard work, and in fact many of them have extensive agricultural experience. Everything I've heard has said that the kibbutzim are mostly dying, largely sustained by donations, tourists and Americans in Israel for a year or a few months. Surely it would be better for all involved for the former Gazans to live in real homes and recreate communities and lives, and in return their labor and ingenuity could help sustain the kibbutzim, if only until permanent housing is built for them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-30481211761922125882007-04-22T11:45:00.000-04:002007-04-22T11:45:00.000-04:00oy...and no one listens...while the crazies are ru...oy...and no one listens...while the crazies are running the shop and evil walks the planet...oymarallyn ben moshehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04687599765928616825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-35003505598425275292007-04-21T23:54:00.000-04:002007-04-21T23:54:00.000-04:00Well, they will not be satisfied til they ruin the...Well, they will not be satisfied til they ruin the place.Chana @ Lemon Lime Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11656854855385193867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-69226430852542688532007-04-21T23:33:00.000-04:002007-04-21T23:33:00.000-04:00yes more and more so all the timeyes more and more so all the timeDaniel Greenfieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13575285186581875356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11368628.post-13482527108925067412007-04-21T23:32:00.000-04:002007-04-21T23:32:00.000-04:00Israel is committing suicide.
