Peace Now Against Israel

The financial collapse of the Heftzibah Construction Company and the devastating effects on home owners near Modiin, is yet another reminder of Peace Now's campaign against Israel's Jewish residents.

Peace Now worked hard to promote the forcible expulsion of thousands of Jews from Gaza. Peace Now conducts flights on a regular basis tracking Israeli towns and villages and providing information to the U.N., Europe and the Arabs. Peace Now flights have regularly passed military bases as well and photographed them from the air.

Right now Israel continues to live under a Peace Now government. Olmert's wife and lesbian daughter are both Peace Now members. And former Defense Minister Amir Peretz was closely tied to Peace Now. Even on issues that don't concern them such as the protests by Holocaust survivors, Peace Now made a point of defending Olmert.

But what is Peace Now?

Peace Now has fought hard not to reveal the sources of its funding. It has settled at least one lawsuit rather than reveal where its money comes from. But the sources increasingly point abroad. To the European Union.

Documents shared with the Knesset Interior Committee confirmed that the Peace Now organization received a budget in the amount of 50,000 Euros from the government of Finland to conduct intelligence activities in Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria, the Golan, Gaza and Jerusalem. In fact, it indicated in the Finnish grant request that it also received $100,000 from the Americans and 150,000 Euros from "European Foundations" for its “settlement watch project.”

A spokesperson for Peace Now stated that the "European Foundations" mentioned in their grant request to the Finnish government were actually funds from the European Union. In other words, Peace Now receives the bulk of its funding from other foreign European governments

Even more troubling are Peace Now's origins which were not grass roots as the myth often goes but manipulated from abroad. Peace Now functions effectively as a fifth collumn inside Israel, spying and undermining and waging a not so covert war against the Jewish State, funded by its enemies.

  1. Europe has no love for Israel but they do have a longing to own it.
Since Israel is the place where G-d set his name, nations long to own it and have the prestige of it on their side. Its like controlling the ball in a game.
Europe and the Arabs both lust after what was never given to them.

Sandy Berger, Clinton's national security adviser, was a founder of "Peace Now".

...Berger was closely involved in more than one Labor-led Israeli government’s controversial handling of the peace process during the Clinton years. A founding father of Israel’s dovish Peace Now movement...

    Boker Tov, to all.

Is it possible that the government of Eretz Yisrael currently loves The Red Hot Chili Peppers? Regarding land, Palestinian prisoners, etc., the tune seems to be:

Give it away, give it away, give it away, now.

The U.S. likes the tune, too, because it is giving $20 billion in arms TO ALL OF THE ARABS in the "interests of stability in the region." The French like the tune, too: they gave Libya a boatload of missiles.

Achi lemon,I agree with you, and more: Europe, the Arabs, and the U.S. also GIVE AWAY what was never given to them.

We confront them with words and not force of arms. If G-D is with us and we obey Him, they will not be able to stand up to us. Ahavat Yisrael must take precedence: enough of this cowering and trembling, waiting for a UN/U.S./EU "handout" of something that (guess what?) is not ours to give away! The land belongs to the Living G-D: it isn't ours to give away!

    Kahane was right.

The money may be coming from the EU but it's these people who love to identify themselves as Jews who despise religious Jews. The threat to Israel is firmly within her borders.

They hate who they are and will go to the ends of the earth to prove they are different from "those Jews." They long for the loving embrace of the Europeans - to be counted among them.

The image in my head of Yariv Oppenheimer in his little airplane, scouring Jewish land through binoculars for "illegal outposts" is sickening.

I remember railing about GWB and Ariel Sharon in regard to the Disengagement at Torah study. My rabbi who is a very patient man sat and listened. Then he told me what I now know to be true: The threat to Jews does not come from GWB or any other nation or man. It comes from Jews - those Jews that we pray to Hashem about in the Amidah - the enemy within. They are the chink in our armor, so-to-speak. We are a force to be reckoned with when we are in agreement.

I'm an Orthodox convert. I came to Judaism out of love, not for marriage or money. So it was very painful to learn -- to have the fantasy shattered that all Jews are brothers. The reality of self serving Jews in WWII, Rudolph Kastner and the like all the way up to today was a kick in the stomach.

Europe disdains Israel as it always has. I don't think they want to control Israel, however. They want to drown the baby. They quietly hope that raging Arabs will do the job for them, that way they can erect memorials rather than lie about supporting those damn, troublesome Jews. And Peace Now will finally have their place at the table.
