Bush on Israel

"As part of a final peace settlement, Israel must have secure and recognized borders. These should emerge from negotiations between the parties in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338. As I said last April, new realities on the ground make it unrealistic to expect that the outcome of final status negotiations will be a full and complete return to the armistice lines of 1949. It is realistic to expect that any final status agreement will be achieved only on the basis of mutually agreed changes that reflect these realities. That's the American view. While the United States will not prejudice the outcome of final status negotiations, those changes on the ground, including existing major Israeli population centers, must be taken into account in any final status negotiations." - George W. Bush

To sum up...Sharon has been telling anyone he can find that Bush promised him that withdrawal from Gaza would let Israel keep all the other territory, Bush has once again reiterated that he has said no such thing, that any territory Israel keeps has to be AGREED UPON WITH THE PALESTINIANS. The US is not promising anything, the widest promise that Bush has made is that any major population areas should be taken into account in the negotiations. Not that Israel will get to keep them, but that they will be 'taken into account' but that maybe it's unrealistic to expect Israel to withdraw from 100 percent of the territory. That's all.

And meanwhile Jr like his Daddy is dictating once again where Israel can and can't live.

I think the USA should give Texas, New Mexico , Arizona and California back to the poor disppossesed Mexican. Don't you?
I mean isnt it occupied land, and arent the white boys on it *settlers*. Those Poor Mexicans. ( I am in tears here now..sobbing, blubbering , Oh the pain the agony of it all).
But the USA must lead the way and show Israel how to dismantle a nation by first doing it at home.
Mr Bush I call upon you to give back the land taken from Indians and Mexicans by the white Settlers!!!!!
Of course the final outcome will not resemble the America of 1949 but these are the things a nation of conscience must be willing to do to set a good example for all mankind.

  2. A sign of maturity is taking responsability for one's circumstances. Waiting around and whining about how everyone around you is preventing you from doing what you gotta do; hey, speaking from experience, not the way to go.

For Israel to be strong, she must stand up for herself, proclaim her just values, and remain firm and resolute. Chazak V'ematz!
